I really hope he can stay injury free this season (I have probably jinxed it now).

Godden is a good championship striker when fit. I personally think Gyok adds more as he can normally hold up play a bit better and more likely to take players on but they can both score.

We are 3 games in - both strikers are off the mark and of it wasn’t for some very suspect defending and keeping things would be a lot rosier. I think one of them can hit 20 this season.

I make that 35 goals in 76 appearances, could he get to 50 goals before 100??

Fair play to him.

2nd top scorer behind Simon Moore who, to be fair, is punching in Messi numbers.

He won't be playing till that age mate, probably retire in his mid thirties.

Outstanding goalscorer but he does little else (I know that sounds crazy). Still did more the Gyökeres today who was completely bullied.

I'm sure he will take that, as would our fans if our defence and keeper weren't absolutely gifting goals ..

He would simply win us games with his goals

Absolutely nothing wrong with how Godden or Gyok are performing. All on the defence, as per last season.

Gyok wasn't quite at it today but by no means didn't contribute, Godden is just a great finisher, the disallowed header was perfect. He's on track for 46 for the season

Haaland had 16 touches against Palace today .. scored 3

Some strikers are quite literally there to just score goals

If matty scores goals here , he can have 2 touches a match for all I care

They seem to only ever be in form one at a time. I’m sure Gyok will start scoring regularly and at some point Godden will have a dry spell. We’re lucky to have that level of quality up front (that is of course if we manage to keep Györkeres).

I'm not sure we have the team around him to carry that. We do need strikers capable of grabbing the game by the scruff and holding off pressure.

I think Godden is enjoying playing alongside big Vik, as Vik gives the centre halves such a hard time, and Godden pucks up the bits and pieces.

This isn’t really a deliberate bump but he’s surely a concern now. He really is slow and the way we play he’s rarely in the penalty area - looks like he’s had his day to me

He won an impressive number of aerial duels considering who he was up against

He was anonymous again today - not sure he’ll get those 25 goals this season, even if he stays injury free.

I think viks all round game is so impressive you don't realise some of the work that he does , hasn't really had much of anything at his feet in the box in recent matches .. and I'd agree not at his best in recent matches

It's also worth mentioning that vik is probably one of the best forwards in the division .

He's stopped taking chances he would have taken last season, without that his contribution is questionable.

Brilliant player but my word he gets lucky. It's amazing how many goals he's scored where Keepers have fumbled it.

They don't really work as a partnership. When hes not finishing Godden offers little at this level, he did win a few aerials though. He is offside far too much, trying to make up for his lack of pace.

Makes his own luck I think. A one man battering ram who as Evo says reminds you of a type of player that’s hard to find now. Great to watch
