4 in 9 in the championship so far...

People doubted he was at the level I had my doubts but he’s stepped up so far he actually looks better at this level.

He was excellent tonight but I think a big part of that was having more meat at that end of the pitch meaning he didn't have to use all his energy chasing lost causes.

Must admit I thought Godden should have been taken off when Hamer came off, which shows how much I know..!

Thought Biamou was excellent.

He needs that striker up front with him. But he’s on for 15+ goals this season.

I'd argue matty does that every single game, the extra help was absolutely needed... I haven't done player ratings but I'd give biamou a 6.5.

Solid shift, poor miss

Dont rate Max at all but credit where it’s due tonight he worked very hard. Baka should be ashamed he’s been overtaken TBH. Hate to agree with Grendel but on face value it seems the Walker money would’ve been best spent on a better version of Max.

I’ll be honest, I was quite ready for Godden to be dropped. Whilst his goal tally says otherwise, I really didn’t think he’d had much of a start to the season. Played well tonight - won’t go overboard and suggest he was amazing but certainly a lot better than recently. Biamou didn’t have that good a game, but the idea of Biamou bought us 5-10 extra yards to stretch the game.

That's the thing with him. Even in L2 at times quality wise you felt he might be struggling, but you can guarantee he'll give his all and make the most of what he's got. And that makes a difference. He won't be able to keep up that level of performance and will need to be used wisely but when he plays he'll help the team even if he himself may lack something. Add in that occassional worldy and he's one of those players that are just great to have around.

That's been Robins' plan for weeks, been unable to do it as Walker's not fit.

Two up top made a big difference ...Max was nowhere near as good as some make out her 6.5 or 7 at best but having an extra presence up top helped the whole team.....I think Baka overall could do that role better but Max has given both Walker & Baka a kick up the ass cannot fault Max's workrate always gives his all!

I think Walker and Gooden could be a very good partnership.

I had my doubts about Gooden, but always felt he could score at least 10 goals in the Championship. He’s a v good finisher and that attribute can take you through the leagues - which he has done.

He lacks the physicality, but that’s not his game. Therefore, we’ll get the most out of him when we’re creating chances for him.

Peterboro fans must be scratching their heads. But then so will Doncaster fans over Sheaf and even 14th placed League 2 Walsall fans knowing Bakayoko is a Championship striker

I don't think anybody in their right mind would describe Godden as a target man but he's still very good in the air and can lay off the ball well. I think that him and Walker may be similar, although I haven't seen a lot of Walker yet to make a judgment, but that may not be a bad thing. Two of them on non stop hassling defenders will be a nightmare for the opposition.

Think I'd have called it quits if we'd signed him in L2 when a portion of our fan base were calling for us to sign him. Watching him waddle around a football pitch offends my eyes.

I was one who doubted he’d step up. But he’s been brilliant. His work rate and his hold up play have been fantastic. Although a tap in tonight, he still had that strikers instinct to follow it in and then slot it away nicely. Think his fitness levels are currently the highest it’s been since he joined.

Was listening to the Under the Cosh podcast, which is good as the guests they have are usually quite interesting. Unfortunately it's let down a little by some ignorant yorkshire tit making stupid remarks. Turns out it's the Beast Jon Parkin. Anyway, according to wiki we nearly signed him from Cardiff in the Championship relegation season. I assume it was Cody Mcdonald instead who wasn't exactly svelte.

I think his fitness level is a really good point. I wasn't sure he'd step up either but his football intelligence is shining through this season. He needs that strike partner to take the sole focus off him but tonight he was magnificent.
