I think the way we set up doesn’t help them or Grimes. The gap to the forwards was a joke at times today and why I didn’t agree with taking a striker off, it just left us lumping it in Simms general direction then setting up the other 9 outfield players on the edge of our box waiting for Bannan to put it back in. Once we got EMC on and an actual midfielder not hiding from the game in Allen we looked much better.
The one from DaSilva before they scored I was wondering where Simms had been as he came into view, I thought it would was a good outball until it Landed perfectly for their midfield.
His experience has been vital in the last two games, leading the midfield and making us harder to break down, we look so much crisper when he’s in there as the ball moves from defence to attack quicker and cleaner
