It's the last part that makes me wonder "more to follow". We know how hard Steven Pressley has been trying to keep his identity secret in fear of another club poaching in, so why reveal his name now? He can't sign any time so why would there be more to follow?

Are they revealing his name because they know they now have no chance of signing him due to the ongoing embargo? just a thought!

Most likely, but I thought SP wanted to sign Manset on a Pre-Contract Agreement?

They've probably released his name as he will have signed a pre-contract agreement

Has anyone explained yet how Pompey signed all them players last season whilst in Admin, yet we've signed no-one at all??????

Still confused by all the secrecy.

After McGoldrick I don't want to dismiss his chances before seeing him play competitively, but I'm not convinced he's the answer. Can't see him fitting in alongside Clarke, and hope he's not a replacement......

It is funny how they want to keep it a massive secret but they post pictures of them online? As if nobody has any sort of brain to figure out who it is.

On 6 January, Manset announced through Twitter that his contract with Sion was terminated due to "irreconcilable differences".

Pompey were allowed to sign players on short term contracts after persuading the FL that they didn't have enough players to reliably field a team.
That may be kind of difficult for us to claim when we have players sitting around in the bomb squad.

He also started out at the same club as Guillaume Beuzelin

Pre-contract agreements mean nothing, not worth the paper they are written on. I suspect he will shortly sign for someone else and fishface/waggy dog/Elvis will come out with the usual diatribe of "we did everything we could to secure him" "its the FL's fault" "if ACL hadnt forced us into admin we could have signed players and now look we have missed out on one".

The general opinion is talent not in question just attitude and stamina. We've had enough players like that on recent years but may be worth a 12 month deal

Maybe we can get him then loan him to Nuneaton.

Or maybe we can get Pressley to give us an artists impression of Joy Seppala ala Crimewatch.

Physicality was a good word, respect. But why does his singing ability have anything to do with it?

Clarke has been labelled with the Bad Attitude before and he's done well for us so far. Here's hoping he's in the same category come the end of next season...

He looked ok in both games last week. Big strong lad, but went down with ease under pressure. Would need to judge him when fully fit and firing on all cylinders.

They didn't have enough players to field a team and fill a bench. We do. They were only month to month deals anyway I think.
