It's capitalism mate, we lose money as a business so they are trying maximise the income of the business. This makes perfect business sense. There is the moral argument to say it does make any decent sense is just wrong.
Its not that at all. Its knowing which fans will come in numbers regardless. In L2 and L1 we were regularly Cat A. Thats nothing to do with putting the club on a pedestal, it has everything to do with a club with low gates, cashing in on a loyal fanbase that'll turn up.in numbers regardless. Its pointless over pricing a team who will only bring a maximum of 200 fans, you'll just price them out and lose in the long run.
In years gone by we've done the right thing and never had it returned. I remember one season we were the ONLY club in the league that signed up to twenties plenty. I remember one season, i wanna say a London ish club (qpr, reading maybe, that sort of size, location) we charged £25 for their fans and went there and it was something like £37 and im sure it was midweek! We've had our fair share of having our pants pulled down whilt doing the right thing by them. I say fuck them! Everyone had the chance to sign up to 20s plenty, nobody did! If I remember correctly, FGR was over £20 for L2 and there was no roof or seats ffs! And it was a right miserable day to boot!
When the capitalism thing comes in I just think of that whole ‘for the fans’ thing is all. Feels silly to me to say ‘you can’t afford to come see us play Birmingham, maybe the Swansea game is more your ball park.’
Trouble is we're headed into territory of rigging the system are we not, haven't hit the point yet,st's are ultimately likely to be hiked under this method while supply is limited?
