Regardless of the performances and results, the matchday experience at the Ricoh is truly horrific.

For starters the atmosphere is non-existent, us lot in the corner try our hardest to back the team but the noise drifts away before anyone can hear it.

The away supporters are so far away that they may as not be there.

The food is awful, and the prices are pathetic.

You can no longer put a bet on in the ground.

The programme is woeful.

Getting away from the ground still takes an age despite attendances being an all time Ricoh low.

No club shop to browse.

No decent pubs close by.

The staff and stewards are miserable.

Anything else that I've missed?

I made a similar point on GMK earlier.

Stood at the back of block 15/16 1st half and it was bloody awful today, so went and stood at the back of the Telegraph stand 2nd half.

The atmosphere coming from block 15/16 and the away fans didn't actually sound too bad from the telegraph stand, considering there's only a couple of hundred home fans making any noise, and the away fans only numbered 600-700?

But as you say the matchday experience is awful. Half the stalls in the concourse are closed down. I understand the reason is there's no fans to serve, but it all adds up to a strange experience.

Billboards advertising Wasps imminent arrival don't really help either!

Dare I say it, c'mon SISU I've back you up time and time again on here and GMK, but now it's time to put your money where your mouth is and build a new 18000 capacity stadium.

In the ideal world I'd like to see them collaborate with Cov RFC and do something on the Barker Butts site, restore some sporting pride in our city, because another stadium on the outskirts will be a ghost town like the Ricoh.

What, the programme that has won pretty much every award going over the last few of years? That programme?

The casino before and after helps me get through the nightmare.

It is difficult to get excited about the crap being dished up on the field.
Also, how can I take serious a group of people who always shout 'Theres only one Stephen Pressley' while the nightmare is taking place.

I've lived in Coventry for 3 years. I've seen ccfc at the ricoh about 6 times and 5 of those times ive been bored to death, the other time we scored 2 late goals to win 3-2, leon clarke ladies and gentlemen.

The atmosphere at Suncorp Stadium hosting Brisbane Roar vs Perth Glory is 10x better than what is served up at the ricoh. The cost of watching football is ridiculous. I can't believe can't drink in the stands. Also being a larger guy I bought a pie, probably the worst thing I have ever eaten.

I do however have my half season ticket for when wasps come up.

It was better though, the crowds, the atmosphere, even the kiosks and betting areas, the club shop was really quite good at one point and the availability of tickets at the ground. The Gillingham atmosphere served as a reminder as to how things could be !

SISU have let it go to shit though, it's obvious now that they only came back from Northants for a season ticket windfall. They've treated Coventry City fans appallingly for 4 years now but still expect people to roll up with £24 to pay on the gate to watch a half arsed bunch of mercenaries go through the motions for 90 minutes. The only way things will improve at the Ricoh sadly is if Wasps make changes for their own 'following' and the City fans can also take advantage. As far as general catering you have to remember that 'Compass' hold the contract which means piss poor overpriced beer and food, served by disinterested zero hours staff. On the pitch is where it really counts though and we need a miracle there with the current bunch of poorly disciplined misfits and kids !

You know what it reminds me of? - Fucking Sixfields. There will be no real ale and free mince pies from Wasps for CCFC games.

That shouldn't be the case though. I cant speak for everyone but I used to enjoy going to the Ricoh its only this season that this vibe has been created.
Maybe owners who can handle the Ricoh is a better option?

Its a morgue has been since we dropped to league one, actually starting to dislike going the Ricoh as no fucker can be arsed to create any atmosphere apart from 100 kids in the corner.

Isn't the SCG Group supposed to have input on these kind of things?
