The end of a long and turbulent season is in sight, and the City end it by taking on a future Premier League team in East Anglia.

Norwich secured back-to-back promotions tonight after their victory at Pompey and Cardiff's implosion at home to Boro. It promises to be one big promotion party at Carrow Road this Saturday, and the Sky Blues, after dominating their game against Play-Off contenders Reading, are invited.

The future is bright under the leadership of Andy Thorn. Players and fans alike are enjoying the brand of passing, attacking football which has seen City secure their Championship status for another season. With the relegation of Preston, City are now the elders of the Championship - next season will be the Sky Blues 11th consecutive season in this league.

If City can continue the progress under the Thorn Era; If Andy can continue to be fat, round and win at every ground; If SISU give their new Manager backing and if we can keep the likes of Gunny and King - then who knows? 12 months from now we could all having the promotion or even play-off party we've been waiting 11 years for.

Teams like Norwich have shown us what is required. The Season Finale at Carrow Road will show us how far City have truly progressed.

PUSB!

I think we should make a deal with them before hand to draw 6-6 or something for the fans

Surely if we're going for that approach we should set a few records as we do it. 99-100 to us and then we do the ultimate sneaky thing and don't let them score their 100th :guitar2:

No?

Ok then, bad feeling it will be 3-1 to them. King to score for us, goals for them coming via Jackson (2) and Holt.

I'm pretty sure there's a touch of symmetry to this? Wasn't their first game back in this league after they were relegated from the prem against us and we drew 1-1 (think Adebola got ours)?

SB up North - Love that MLK quote, although a bit embarrassing when Cameron used it - don't know why, but always reminds me of Rudyard Kiplings 'If'.

Perhaps it should be Marlon Luther King, but I've just googled him and his parents missed a trick by giving him Francis as a middle name.

Just looking forward to next season with our new formation. Hoping to keep our star players and add a couple. Get Turner and McPake fully fit. Should be a good day. Yes we have a chance, so I'll go for a draw, and enjoy the Norwich celebration... this time next year we'll be champions :claping hands:

We played very well again mate. More than matched them and our passing was excellent. Sammy Clingan was probably mom for me, closely followed by Keogh.
