On the Christie side, the club probably wouldn't need to be involved in any kind of negotiation with any club at this point, what with his contract situation so they could dismiss this all they like; it may still not be true.

He can't legally sign for another club until his contract has expired, but dodgy dealings aren't exactly unheard of in the football world are they
