Went to use one yesterday, just for the journey back into town, only to find out that they wanted £4 for a one way trip. Promptly stepped straight back off and we caught a taxi instead which worked out cheaper overall. I've never used them before, is this the usual cost?

£4 return fare from Pool Meadow but they charge the same for a single back ! Me and my mate gave up using the bus to park at a pub down the Foleshill Road and take a 15 min walk t'ground

You can get the train next season: hope that'll bring in extra fans too

£4 return is acceptable, however £4 for a single journey is taking the piss. Can't wait for the station to be sorted, it ll make things a damn sight easier for me.

I usually get a lift back down after going for a few pints so that could be an option for the future. There were 3 of us on sat, so a taxi for just over £8 seemed reasonable and a damn sight quicker

Was reading on the National Express site that, yes, its £4 but you can use it on all NX buses.

From their website:

"City's next home game is the npower League 1 match against Oldham on Saturday 19th January 2013.
The kick off time is 15:00 at the Ricoh Arena

Service 101 operates from Pool Meadow bus station directly to the stadium, with the first bus departing at 12:30.

The COVENTRY MATCHDAYSAVER is available on any National Express Coventry bus from 4 hours before the kick off and allows you to travel on any National Express bus. It is the only ticket that allows you to travel on service 101

We have introduced a CHILD COVENTRY MATCHDAYSAVER for children up to 15 years of age. It costs £2.80

The price of the Adult COVENTRY MATCHDAYSAVER remains at £4.00."

4 quid for the return only seems very steep. Probably a new driver got confused ??!!

Get a normal bus? Behind tesco there's buses every 4 minutes back to town.

I get a match daysaver every home game. You can get them on any bus 4 hours before kick off. Use it to get into town to meet mates then use 101 to Ricoh and back and then the bus home.
