Has EMC played down the middle? If so, I could see them switching throughout games.

Was central for his goal today so it's possible

Yeah I thought that was the case. Even though he’s not scoring, it would be harsh to drop Bassette at the moment.

Not for Haji Wright it wouldn't!

It feels a bit like Bassette is playing because the plan is to use Wright when he's fit, and Wright is closer to Bassette in style than Simms.

Bassette moves around and presses , the opposite of Simms

Felt his hamstring, could be nothing but I think it was a wise precaution to sub him at half time considering we were 4 up.

Simms does press and besides he actually got 3 shots away if I recollect correctly but only one on target and he was holding the ball up quite well.

Frank Lampard said he had a tight hamstring, didn't want to risk it.

Lived in Peterborough for a couple of years when a kid, my dad still a couple of friends there and has had a couple of long good natured discussions with them trying to convince him that EMC is actually a decent player and can't understand why he hasn't clicked. They phone him more regularly now and he's taking it well lol.

Great goal, and nice assist, linked up well with Bidwell too. Fair play to him. It will be interesting to see if he can do it against the better teams.

The so-called better teams will put two or three on him, but that will leave space for others to cash in hopefully.

He’s looking every bit worth the money now. Lampard showing faith and giving him the confidence to express himself. One of the most dangerous wingers in the league right now.

He is a beast. Nightmare for full backs because of the combination of intimidating physique and speed of the mark.

He is the new kid on the block - a situation that will not last forever - but I love him, he makes things happen

Was also some real composure and intelligence in his contributions today.

Just needed time. His form probably means Wright through the middle when fit

He's in great form. I never wrote him off but I can't say that I ever raved about him. Players need time to settle. He's going through a purple patch at the moment but is starting to show that he can make it in this league.

A bright light in an otherwise dark and depressing season.

Simms can hold it up, isnt offside every 5 mins, is physical with oppo centre backs and is more likely to score from a header with crossess from our 2 wingers. The opposite of Bassette.

Harsh to drop a striker with 2 goals in 13 games give me strength. I like the guy but the love in he’s getting is a tad weird.

I have to say, EMC been good the last 4/5 games and long may it continue. He’s starting to look like a £500K player and he could go on to be a great Championship player.

As soon as Wright drops a few stinkers in a Central position, EMC will be back on the bench.

Mason Clarke is starting to look good and yesterday's finish was his best yet.

It was a great ball from Eccles as well, pass of the match.
