If that useless clown can get a job like that there's hope for us all.

Interesting appointment. He seems very knowledgeable and says all the right things but can he translate that to success?

He's an awful manager. Both Wigan and Everton went backwards under him.

I think calling him awfuk manager it a tad harsh, he had initial success at both Wigan and Everton but became too rigid and didn't evolve when pretty football stopped working.

He won the FA cup with Wigan, a trophy our national manager has never done, wouldn't say he's awful.

Think it could work to be honest. Not so much coaching is required in terms of improving players at international level, that's the clubs' job. Could get their attack firing, and certainly a good calibre of player. Probably see if Alcaraz has Belgian heritage though.

I'd agree.

Relegated Wigan, Everton declined. 'Awful' is maybe overstating it but, he's lived off his Swansea reputation really.

I thought he was lucky to get the Everton job and the way his teams play is so boring.

They had a relatively easy run to the final and it's often forgotten that the City team were pretty much on strike during that game. I'm struggling to think of any other team that put in less effort in a major final.

As for his league finishes...

Wigan
05/06 10th Jewell
06/07 17th Jewell
07/08 14th Hutchins/Bruce
08/09 11th Bruce
09/10 16th RM
10/11 16th RM
11/12 15th RM
12/13 18th (relegated) RM

Everton
06/07 6th Moyes
07/08 5th Moyes
08/09 5th Moyes
09/10 8th Moyes
10/11 7th Moyes
11/12 7th Moyes
12/13 6th Moyes
13/14 5th RM
14/15 11th RM
15/16 12th RM
