Underwhelming. If it’s him and a real top cb then fair enough.

Just can’t help but feel the money has ran out without a big sale now.

Agreed. I can see us signing a CB on loan as cover to be honest.

Yeah seems like we’re standing firm on our players not going anywhere which is great but at the expense of not bringing in real quality

Its mind boggling on here it truly is.. We are at a stage where players that will make a difference to us are not falling off trees and every other club wants them or has them.....

We are building a quality squad without an open check book. Time is needed to find and get a deal that fits the club, not fits a fan who thinks Champ manager is real......

Fellas, calm down be happy we are a club on the up and stop being underwhelmed about the model. Understand it appreciate it and enjoy the wins. Because after watching this club for 45 years, i can remember more times to be down than ever feeling like we are on the up.

I also remember having to sell our best not to get better but to fucking survive....... Entitled little snot blowers, get some balls and look at how far we have come...

Kept our best players which why I said it was great it looks like we will.

to be fair we haven’t had a player sale for a while so it was probably unrealistic of me to think we’d be spending lots on a back up forward

always want more though

90% of clubs in this league would be besides themselves if offered our squad right now

We all want more Mat, most would walk across broken glass for success. Most have been around watching us doggy paddle fir years. I can never remember in the history of the club where if a pound was offered for a Milan, Wright or a Rudoni they would be gone. FFS some of our old lot would be revving the car before the phone went down...

I hope we keep the top end of our squad and if we are to add lets look to better the bottom of the squad. Because the top 6 or 7 are very good players and will be successful with us.

Yeah I probably was too critical of the signing as a rotational option as back up to EMC I’m sure he’ll be fine

can imagine him being used best off the bench with 15/20 to go

Yes, if only to cover EMC and Sakamoto.
Could also potentially be cover for Rudoni

Bidding on a winger, doesn't stop us buying a CH which remains a priority.

Perfect signing in terms of his flexibility to play both wings.

Waiting for Godo, about sums up our window so far…

(And yes I’m feeling quite smug about that niche Beckett reference )

If (big if) we were to sign Godo, I'd be suprised if Raphael wasn't sent out on loan, with Sakamoto injured, he must of fancied his chances of getting some minutes, but it wasn't to be, with BTA getting the nod Instead.
Now if we sign another recognised winger, then there's next to no fucking chance of Rapha getting a look in.

Surely the writing is on the wall for the fella

Is Godo more of a left winger though? I know we've had to stick a couple of players out of position across the front occasionally but I've noticed Lampard is pretty much a round peg in round hole manager where possible.

Im not sure tbh, (hadnt heard of him before tonight) marketplace has him down as a rightfooted leftwinger that can also play right wing or AM, so he's quit versatile which is useful.

I'd guess that if we are paying a fee for him he'd be ahead of Rapha when it comes to naming our 25 man squad, and there's definitely going to be at least a CH to come in before the window shuts, so numbers are going to be tight.

We could do with off loading Collins, Bidwell, Raphael and Bassette if we want to add more quality or use the loan system to add some depth.

Tbf just judging from that highlight reel he seems like he could play a more attacking midfielder sort of role, the positions he picks the ball up in and moves into space seems like he could be suited to both mid and wing areas. Obvs limited info to go off though, just a thought

I agree. Most players have had enough good moments over even a couple of years to look good in a highlights video.

If only we had the £50 million+ that this goalkeeper is surely worth:

Every highlights video should be followed by a lowlights video, just for balance.
