Just been on twitter, brody's getting a right hammering. IF he signs for us then fair play on the board and marlon, if he goes to brum after the club announcement then there's going to be some very pissed off people with King 9 on their shirts, people have bought seasons tickets because they think the board are turning things around, makes you wonder weather it was just a massive plot to bump shirt/ticket sales.

Only time will tell.

Fell sorry for Brody to be honest, he's the only available member of the board so the fans are taking it to him, led by Beardy Linnell who has always seen himself as some sort of club insider who gives out info on Twitter and probably feels threatened by someone who actually knows what is goin on.

However, I sent Brody a few tweets earlier, including about any compensation for fans with King on the back of their shirts, and he responded without mentioning anything about it.

In my opinion the club have made great strides recently with fan relationships, but if they were to not do anything about any shirts with him on the back then it would be a massive pr own goal

If King was to go to Brum it would make the board look like complete fools. They came out arguing with the press on Twitter and making statements that King's agent was lying and they will just have dug themselves a deeper hole.

I don't feel sorry for them, they choose to be on Twitter, they choose to make these announcements that he is staying so why should they not be hated for bullshitting? (if they are?)

Why don't we just wait and see what happens, yesterday CWR stated no contact had been made, so who knows what the truth is? If King does go to blues then so be it, Fuck him, if he stays, again so be it. He was/is a great player but as previously mentioned, he is not bigger than CCFC and I’m confident AT will have a suitable replacement and will be able to offer half decent money for him, as he will have for the other 2 players stalling on their contract offers, KING IS GOOD BUT NOT GOD!!!!!!

It all stinks of shit to be honest. No smoke without fire guys. I will be gutted if he does not sign I thought things were looking up for us! And as for a replacement I have no idea? everyone in the championship is looking for a 20 plus a season striker and I am not covinced we can compete with other clubs for top draw replacements.

Rich, only my opinion mate, but i think you are letting yourself down a bit, his history was never brought up when he was signing for us, he was the dogs B***cks, why bring it up now??? as said before why not wait and see what happens before crucifying the bloke.

I can if you wish go back over the threads. I'm quite sure there were people bringing up his history. I for one remember posting something along the lines of "I'd like him to sign, but hope he stays away from local nightclubs...and Girls".

His work on the Field is great and I welcome Marlon the player. Marlon the person.. not so much.

Rich, don't get me wrong mate, he's been a complete wanker in the past and we all know that, what i'm trying to say is.. why bring up his past today because of speculation, when prior to this when we thought he was signing he was the Dogs B***cks, why don't we at least see what he has to say or do first before crucifying him.

My other point was... people have turn extremely nasty towards him (possibly rightly so) without waiting to see what happens.

If he doesn't sign then fine, Fuck the wanker and slate him to death, i will, but until then, Why!!!!

I have stated that he can "do one", basically a true reflection of my current feelings. Another way of saying he can go but i'm not happy about it.

But to come up with that tune for a player that is still Sky Blue until the end of the month is a bit harsh.

That leads me onto something else, he can't sign for Brum until the end of the month so why have a medical now?

Can we save the Marlon King abuse until he has actually left? He hasn't gone yet and only a week ago you were worshipping the ground he walked on when you thought he was signing here. It's only speculation it may not be true! We will find out in the next couple of days I'm sure. The fans have whinged and whinged about zero transparency from the board - even though it makes good sense to keep your cards close to your chest and the King saga is a perfect example of the reason they can't be too open with the fans. As Ranson always used to say damned if you do and damned if you don't.

As for anyone who got King on their shirts - well that's just silly there was always a good chance he wasn't going to stay! No sympathy for them I'm afraid.
