Decent signing for them I guess but no big deal. will be there just for the money as its a 9 month deal. not exactly commitment from either side. sheff utd get a decent striker if he performs and king gets a decent pay packet per week to not do too much.

Maybe so but all the off field shite that comes with him, means he ends up playing below his level. Isn't he potentially looking at more time inside with his latest driving offences? That's be two very good finishers they'd have lost to her majesty's pleasure!!!

Shame he never learnt, good striker who did well on the pitch for us. Also possibly means no further approaches for Clarke???

What a fantastic signing at this level. The guy is Premier League all day long (well the days he can stay out of HMP anyway).

very good signing for them. my brum supporting mate said that his last season with them was mixed and he was showing signs of losing "it" so hopefully he has an off day against us

i have always said i would take king back but right now i wouldnt swap him for leon clarke. dunno if thats tribalism or not.

A great signing for them, I dont get he is there for there money, at least not is a disparaging term, why did he come here? For the opportunity to earn money and while here he scored goals. He went to Brum for more money and scored goals....

We're talking about the Marlon king that was good for us a couple years ago when he was 31 , who has had at least one bad injury since and been without a club for 5 months ?
I doubt he'll make much of a difference before xmas with that much down time ,I'd argue a guess that hep not half the player we had now

How can anyone deny the fact that Marlon King is a quality signing for League one. Regardless of what happens off the field he will do his job properly and he will score goals, what more can you ask? They will be remembered for gaining promotion not because they employed a rapist, and anyhow I would employ a rapist if he gave me the opportunity to earn an extra however many million if they get to the championship. Common sense

Maybe a few years ago he was premier league but not anymore, will still probably be a class above this division though

Premier League all day long, hence why he's spent virtually all of his career in the lower divisions.

Decent signing. Would have Leon and Callum all day long over him though.

Think he'll get boo'd against us?

Like somebody said already, without a club for a few months, no pre season. Should be ok by Christmas. Jordan will have him in his back pocket.

Maybe he is but if we had kept him we would have been no where near relegation.

If he hasnt had a club for a few months we can assume hes not what he once was or his wage demands were too high for lower championship clubs, if the latter then it smacks of desperation on shef utd.

Hes prob on between 10 to 12 grand a week and as someone pointed out will take a while to get fit. You dont have to be fit to score goals though so might prove us wrong

i am not sticking up for him...but he never was a rapist..he got convicted of sexual assault for pinching a girls arse then smacking her in the face when she told him to f -off..
the same offence phil the power taylor was convicted of yet he came third in sports personality of the year a couple of years ago

Not exactly the only offence that Marlon King has been convicted of, two others before he was jailed for assaulting women, plus myriad other offences.

If Phil Taylor did the same, he is also a c**t.
