I dont think his name is available to have printed on a shirt: Macron away kit jersey 23/24 – Red Star Shop

Its happening. Or im just bad at internetting
Nice catch. Their squad page still has him, he's their 6, but 6 definitely isn't available in the kit name drop downs.

I have checked their 5 and 7, also not in the drop downs. I can't find any news that they're moving on, so unsure if you've inadvertently discovered 3 sales Red Star are making that haven't been reported yet, which are all sequential in squad number, or if this is just a bug on their website for some reason.

All the internet news snippets I see, and the player profile on TransferMarket have me believe that this is true. How brilliant if it is but why dont the club come out and say so?

Sources on the CET from Serbia say the lad has been hesitating about the move...
Hesitant. Not hesitating. Important difference in tenses!

I think anyone would be hesitant about swapping league champions and a champions league spot for the second tier of English football. That's not to denigrate us, or saying its a step backwards, I just think that giving that up, while being 22, and moving to a different country is worth hesitating over.

If I were Red Star, I would be worried if the player wasn't hesitating. It's not as if we're an extremely glamorous club that people would jump at the chance to join.

Imo, this is nothing but a bit of people interpreting it in the wrong way.

These have slightly different meanings, but there's no difference in tense? And then you go on to say a couple of times that he's hesitating.

Edit: not that the difference matters!

Window isn't even open yet, players aren't in training, football staff probably still on holiday. There's no rush, and as others have said they'll want to do all the PR bits which takes a bit of time.

Agreed - and you'd probably still hesitate even if you're offered more money than you're currently on. These guys are uprooting families, moving further from loved ones, a whole manner of different things come into play.

You're right but it has all the vibes of Sheaf not smiling in training. Calling him as an early hate figure who has people hating on him and demanding £50 million for him simultaneously.

people forget that footballers are also human beings. Look at the OTT reactions to Wright because he didn't score a thousand goals in his first 5 games

He most likely just needed a day or two to think it through, I would be surprised if he didn't do that.
Being from New Zealand, the UK is probably up there with the best destinations for him to live. The Kiwi's love it over here (for some reason)

Facebook already has fans saying if he's unsure we don't want him. Fucking called it.

I suppose the main draw with moving to us is that there’s a decent chance that that player would be playing first team football in the prem within 3 years. Clearly not a given but we seem serious about getting into the prem and I feel we have more of a plan and more momentum than other teams around us.

Or if we dont succeed they have a good chance to get signed by a premier league team

Yeah exactly, I think with King taking over the club and the form we’ve been in recently, it really does feel like a club that players want to come to now. We’re not just another Milwall or Preston or Bristol City or Swansea, I feel like we’ve got something to offer potential players.
