A spectacular job was done by the sports department of the Crvena Zvezda Football Club , as according to Sportal , midfielder Marko Stamenić was sold to Coventry for a dizzying sum of 5,000,000 euros, just one year after he arrived in Ljutice Bogdana for free.

In the recently concluded season, Stamenić was one of the most deserving of Zvezda winning the fourth double crown in a row, or even the seventh consecutive title of the champion of Serbia.

By the way, Coventry is a member of the Championship, in which they finished the season in ninth position, but the fact that they are ready to allocate 5,000,000 euros for Zvezda's midfielder clearly shows that the club's ambitions are to attack the promotion to the Premier League next year.

Passing range and ball winning ability looks great, but hope it transfers over to a more competitive league which the Championship is. Hope Sheaf stays and together with Marko they can both relieve the pressure on our defence and spring counter attacks. Need to get a new goalie in and bolster our defensive ranks.
