It really is. Who’s Colin Toshack? John’s son? Or just a coincidence with the name?
And batistuta is very strange. Has he ever managed?

Robins has certainly given us a reason for optimism.

Regardless of off field issues, he has halted our seemingly terminal decline.

We have hope to improve further while he remains.

Let us also hope that he still believes in the project .

His last departure for pastures new didn’t quite work out.

It’s ironic that his reason for leaving last time was more or less stadium and lack of council support for the club based.

History repeating itself?

God I hope not.

Can't blame him if he goes though. And certainly not surprising to hear he's getting interest from above.

He's done a fantastic job for us (despite the idiots on here wanting him sacked in January).

Swansea never go for that type of manager. Robins is the kind of manger they look at so I can see a kind of logic in his position in the betting.

Betting is really no indication at all as all it would take is a couple of punts on him and he becomes a favourite

You're absolutely right there
And if you do try to have a punt on a contender you usually find there is an upper limit on the bet the bookies will accept

Robins is a proven failure at Championship level................ Just tell them that and we should be fine!

Swansea tend to bring in managers from overseas anyway.

I actually dont think he would go again, the prospect of a ground share has been on the cards for a while, all Robin's wants is our support.
He left before and it didnt go well, I think CCFC and Robins are a great fit for one another. I genuinely believe that despite the circus regarding the stadium deal, Robin's will get us back to the championship I really do.

No they don't - Only 3 out of last ten have been from overseas (unless you count England as being overseas for them)

Clement was at Bayern and Potter at Ostersund though - they do like to recruit from overseas. If you take out the caretaker managers I think it's only Garry Monk and Brendan Rogers in the last 10 years who have been British and based in UK?

I would be amazed - but quite impressed - if Swansea went for someone other than Chris Coleman.

Why?

Groundshare only affects the fans. I doubt the manager and players care, they still get paid.

If anything they probably prefer it as they don't have to play on a shit pitch churned up by rugby

They'll appoint some overseas manager that nobody here has ever heard of, that seems to be the way of it for middling Championship clubs nowadays. Breathe easy lads.

I posted a few weeks ago that Robins will leave for the right opportunity if we end up ground sharing. He had been told it wouldn't happen, so will feel terribly let down.
Don't think it will be Swansea though. He lives near Derby and his wife runs her own business, so think his next club would have to be commutable from home.
Let's hope a deal is done soon to stay at the Ricoh.

I would be very surprised if Robins went. Flattered maybe but the last time that fell flat very quickly.
He can stay with a high probability of getting CCFC into the Championship anyway next season, or go and fight a relegation battle and even end up in league 1 with Swansea.
I just don't think having learned the lesson of Huddersfield he will likely jump ship this time. He has a safe unchallenged position at CCFC and is mapping it out as he sees fit.
Not the change I would make.
