7 league one games 16/17 season
W4 D1 L2 F6 A6 pts13
3 clean sheets out of 6

5 league two games 17/18 season
W4 D0 L1 F8 A1 pts12
4 clean sheets out of 5

In total Mark Robins has had 12 league home games
W8 D1 L3 F14 A7 pts25
7 clean sheets from 12 games and only 3 defeats.

His side has not conceded 2 goals in a game since his 2nd league home game in charge and only conceded 3 goals since the two opening 0-2 defeats 10 league games ago

Signs of becoming a fortress.

Being a city supporter it cannot be helped! We have had years of being kicked in the bollox every time we get to the expectation state, I like a lot of city supporters try to protect ourselves from ever despondency expecting the worse. Football is a confidence game and that goes for supporters as well

We'll win. Not saying it will be a breeze, but I am feeling confident of three points, which is exactly how we should be

Forms a bit sketchy against Crewe at home in recent times having only beaten Crewe once at the Ricoh winning our last home meeting 3-2 but before that we went 5 games unable to beat them drawing 2 and losing 3 in league and cup games. Prior to that we won 6 of the previous 7.

On a brighter note we won our last meeting in the 4th tier 3-2 in 1959

We had done well away against them though in recent years.
Think Mowbray had a pretty similar record in terms of home form after his first few months with us did he not?

I'm not at the "confident of 3 points" stage yet. But unlike last season I don't go up expecting us to lose! Step in the right direction I suppose?!

Tomorrow is a big test of how well this team will do this season
As above we have overcome the "Swindoo" and we must beat teams like Crewe if we want automatic promotion.
After nearly 50 years of supporting CCFC you never feel confident but it is starting ( and I emphasis starting) to feel a little different this season with this squad of players
What has impressed me the most has been the depth of squad after injuries to Andreau and McNulty and McDonald suspension
Keeping Doyle and Kelly fit and no suspensions is key for me.

The difference for me v last season, is even if we were leading 1-0 in the 85th minute, I expected to lose.
Last season we were winning at half time , more often than we were losing, but over half of the time we took the lead, we were pulled back

Be prepared for the usual "we're gonna concede, oh God, oh God, please let us win" if we're only a goal up with 10 minutes to play.

Some of us probably still need therapy after the last minute fiasco's under Slade, however it's time to be positive.
