Happens at most clubs, even clubs as big as Liverpool and Chelsea. Its wrong as the new manager should be thr one to choose where needs strengthening. We'll send wright back and bring in this Browne then moan about lack of experience.

Don't have any problems in loaning these type of players as additions to the squad but they should be over and above more established experienced players and we need a few of these defence, midfield and up front

Browne has been on bench at Anfield and London Stadium for West Ham twice in the last week so is very well regarded there. He's fast, strong, loves a tackle and can score goals.

Are we therefore to presume that, at present, the hierarchical means of player recruitment is that MV will go to TF & talk about the prospective signings & request monies ?
So is it safe to assume that TF hires or fires who he thinks fit ?
If so, imho that's like asking a fishmonger to be a property developer,
what a ******* mess !!!

No, I think Venus scouts potential players to sign, takes a list to the manager, Venus. Venus then decides which of the list he thinks would be the best fit, and takes it to Venus. Venus then goes to Venus and consults Venus on the playing budget and between Venus, Venus and Venus they all come to a compromise on who to make an offer for. Venus then makes an offer for the player top of the list after telling the telegraph, maybe the observer now after current run-ins, who tell everyone. Venus misses out on target numbers 1 & 2 so we go for Darius Henderson. Venus blames Venus for the recruitment whilst Venus blames Venus for the scouting and Venus blames Venus for the tactics Darius is being used in. Venus then just plays kids.

part of the loan agreement is we need to house the loanees. If only the club had a property develop on the board

So people complain that we might be bringing in replacement loanees before we have appointed a new manager.
But what if they can't get a new manager in until late in the xfer window? We could end up with no new players.
Life has to go on and there's nothing wrong with lining players up

No complaints... just I thought it was said we're close to a new manager. Are we..... actually??
Would the manager choose to have him? Does he fit his system? Type of character right for the dressing room? Surely that's down to the new manager right?
A list of targets to "present to the new manager" is a good idea to press the buttons and say yes.

Hiring them without the new manager say so is not good practice tho unless we are not even close to appointment

Think it's been proven beyond doubt , it's not the manager who gets players into CCFC.

No it seems its MV, so are we looking to hire a "coach" or a "manager" to have a say in or just make do with what MV throws his way.

A coach will simply just deal with the team training and preparing the squad to work with the players the technical director signs.

A manager identifies his own players, length of contracts a more hands on role in the club.

We need a manager, I think we've seen enough of MV targets

Well, midfield is weak. Hopefully we'll replace Wright too.

That's been known for a while. TM mentioned it in an interview. MV identifies the players and TM says yes or no. To be fair to MV he did OK last season.

Yeah your right there about MV identifying players and presenting a list, maybe just maybe MV identified more suitable targets the summer we could afford that we're league one/two players but we're not quite the championship players TM wanted so TM refused his list...

With TM he was the "manager" he had the overall say, if we hired someone under the job title "coach" it's not there decision. They just work with MV future signings.

Mmmm...well if it works that way let's hope MV rediscovers his golden touch. As I said last season's signings were pretty good early on, though the panic in January was a little more worrying.

Personally I hope we go down the manager route over a head coach...
Last season we had the rub of the green early on, AA hit the ground running, amazing talent...Murphy has that touch and ability in his locker.... the fast free flowing football was too much for many teams till things went wrong... as we no, kids lost form, senior men were brought in to balance the burden being experience and rejuvenate the kids... that failed badly unfortunately.

We may have a new manager already working undercover finding and looking at players ready for Jan/window

If he has a bad debut the usual suspects will be on his back.
