I would take him too.

Bean was also named in the FourFour Two magazines 50 best players outside the premiership, from 2009, he cant be that bad..

I went to Brentord v Leyton Orient last season and i seem to recall him having a very good game capped by scoring a 25yarder. Although there is a pub outside every corner of the ground and visiting each of them before the game may have clouded my recollection slightly.

Plenty of car-park space outside the Ricoh for his Yellow Mini.

With the finances we seem to have we are more likely to sign Mr. Bean.

I saw him play a lto when I used to watch Brentford, just the kind of player we will need next season.

I also rated his ancestor, who had a successful tour of the Iberian Peninsula with his team manager Sir Arthur Wellesley and a big Irish teammate in 1808-14, then a close-run one-off away day in Belgium before a belated tour of India. I think his name was Sean....

Did'nt he used to play for Sheffield Utd aswell. I think i remember him scoring a hat trick against Man U after coming on as a half time substitute

According to the brentford fans forum they seem to think of him as a player who runs his heart out, but probably not a top league 1 player. But the majority on that forum rated him and he seemed to be rated by many of them. But it still leaves the question, should we sign a player being released by a mid table league 1 side

Was he released or did he not sign another contract.

I suspect the latter. It was in the press months ago that we were looking to sign him on a bosman alongside another "championship" club.

Exactly. Some could say we released Westwood, King & Gunnarsson. I would suspect its more he hasnt signed a new contract as he is a first teamer.

Bean started at QPR. There was something odd about his contract - I went to a Bees fans forum a couple of weeks ago and Uwe Rosler said that he couldn't offer Bean a new contract, not sure why though but it all seemed rather strange.

I've seen him play a lot, he works very hard and whilst not the most skilful, puts himself about and stays fit usually. He'd be good for us.

I can't knock deegan for his workrate, but everything else isnt suited to the championship or above. Might be ok in league 1 next year. Would like us to sign a creative, tough, central midfielder (norwood)
