OK so random question.

When he came he had to be on 75% of the outgoing players wage yes?

So is the new player on 75% of Mansets wage or can we use the original figure as it was a signing since the "embargo"

Coventry City release Mathieu Manset

Mathieu Manset has had his contract with Coventry Cityterminated with immediate effect.

The 24-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Sky Blues in August 2013.

However, despite the fact that he has made nine appearances this term, scoring one goal in the process, Manset has been released by the League One club.

"Coventry City would like to wish Mathieu the very best in his future career," read a short statement on the club's official website.

The Frenchman has previously played for Hereford United, Reading and Carlisle United.

Shame it didn't work out. I was surprised when we signed him after his trial, when I didn't think much of him. But against Carlisle he was a different player; really caused them problems, looked strong, but I trust Pressleys judgement

Big mistake he will go on to be a world class striker.

Good move by Pressley, he will never amount to anything.

I'll edit as necessary when the thread gets bumped in a year or two.

Glad he has gone, doesn't buy into the project here and frees up a wage. Now to bring someone else in who can contribute.

Do we not have freed up places for about 4 signings now?

I would imagine this only frees up a wage at the point in time that his contract would have finished, I doubt he would have left without his contract being paid up either in full or pretty close to it.

There's a player in there, but we can't afford to see if it will ever come out consistently, in our current situation.

If Sisu/Otium/Arvo presented their accounts there would be no 75% wage restriction. The next ones are due soon ! Perhaps they intend to send the lot in together save on postage.
