Leicester chairman set for Hillsborough
Milan Mandaric has struck a deal to take over League One side Sheffield Wednesday, according to Sky Sports News sources.
The on-off saga now looks to have ended in agreement for the Serb-born American businessman, who sold his stake in Leicester City earlier this season to a Thailand-based consortium.
Mandaric is still chairman of Leicester, but he will now stand down from that role he has held for four years and take on a similar position at Hillsborough.
Reports suggest he will keep current Owls chairman Howard Wilkinson and chief executive Nick Parker to make up a new board.
Mandaric's buy-out will mean that the club do not have to return to the High Court on Wednesday for yet another winding-up order from HM Revenue and Customs over an unpaid £300,000 VAT bill.
Allowed in? Anyone is allowed in football; the crappy suitable owner checklist is the biggest pile of dogs bollocks ever made. Even though I hate them, just look at man utd, what a mess.
