Let's hope they find the pricks who set that on fire and make an example of them.

It's not really comparable but still shocking.

No, as much as it isn't nice, it is not comparable. A man stabbed and murdered people outside of a Synagogue. Those who are unable to challenge the problem behind this, Islam, are clobbering together what they can to take the focus away and make it look like everyone does their own bit of terrorism and therefore it is somehow an even playing field. We saw the same shit on the Charlie Kirk threads with people banging on about right wingers within 24 hours of him being killed.

Same with the Gary Neville shit - what he said was totally moronic. Crying about flags saying it is causing division, where this is clearly the reaction, not the action. Cannot even call out Mr Jihad properly, because he is more raging towards, in his words 'middle aged white men, which are the problem'. He's frankly demonstrated he doesn't have a clue what is going on, much like a lot of the people on these threads.

Where were your comments after the various neo Nazi terrorists were arrested for planning synagogue attacks?

I have no problem calling this man what he is, an Islamic extremist and a terrorist. But let’s not fool ourselves that they are the only people who have tried to inflict violence on the Jewish community. The most anti Semitic regime of all time was established in Germany, not Saudi Arabia. And with AfD and their Holocaust deniers on the rise, maybe there will be another one on our doorstep.

I’m sorry - a church with people inside was firebombed by men in balaclavas, not even 48 hours after a knifeman attacked a synagogue and murdered a guy on Yom Kippur, but they’re not comparable?

I’m not even here to arrange them in some kind of power rankings of evilness, I’m just saying this is a totally unacceptable state of affairs and no-one seems to give much of a shit?

Don't fucking twist this on me.

You have continuously recently, amongst many other members of this forum, fail to call out what is driving these acts of terrorism, and met every single one of them with whataboutism to try and level the playing field. Islamic terrorism, and left wing terrorism mainly. Your alarm has gone off when I have said this, and you have therefore attempted to do it again here by talking about Nazis.

The behaviour after the Charlie Kirk shooting was disgusting, and you were one of the main culprits in that too.

Eh? That’s news to me. You have a separate personal problem with Islam that drives this type of posting, no different to your Ben Sheaf vendetta. I condemned the Kirk assassination when it happened FYI.

It’s a statement of fact that neo Nazis will target synagogues in the same way that Islamic extremists do. The only difference is that they were apprehended before they got to carry out their plans. But these are white ‘Christian’ men, so you haven’t commented.

I’m struggling to see how the two events aren’t comparable. They’re both terror attacks on places of worship based on religious hatred, there’s no place for either in our society.

Again, this is different from saying one attack is somehow worse than the other.

If you wanted comparable then Finsbury park would be.

I’m afraid I do find it difficult to see the differences between the three attacks. The number of people killed by the perpetrators are the only meaningful difference, and clearly it’s only pure luck that prevented that from being the case in Peacehaven.

Unless of course, you’re suggesting the attackers on Saturday didn’t set out to kill anyone?

The differences is that nobody was injured, 2 people were inside. Still a disgrace and hopefully the people are found and rightly made an example of.

It's not just me who thinks they aren't comparable as I can't find anything saying it's a terror attack?

The other was full on a holy day with injuries and murder, which is why I said Finsbury park which was...

Pretty obvious you just want to divert away from the original discussion though with whip up a bit of outrage and pretend you're offended nobody is talking about it.

Ah OK only two people inside, totally different then!

If this country is going to be a place where the worst thing you can say about places of worship getting firebombed is that it’s “not nice”, and that the men in balaclavas running around doing it aren’t terrorists (whereas other peaceful protesters clearly are), this country is in a very dark place indeed.

You condemned the Kirk assassination for five minutes until you felt you had done enough to then move on to the whataboutism campaign, something you are still trying to do with Christian men here. It is extremely transparent, and the comments on my views on Islam (and weirdly Sheaf) are really showing some desperation here.

Yes, the UK, and the West has a problem with radical Islam, this thread is about a subject matter which (you would be fooled to think had any relation given the cowardly responses we have seen) is a direct outcome of that. You do not have the minerals to talk about it properly, so you derail threads off into tangents or jokes, or very often into a different incident so not only do we not have to get uncomfortable and talk about the tough topics, but that you can try and pretend as if it isn't actually a problem because this one demographic suddenly doesn't look so bad.

It is such a shame, but you are coming across as a really weak and cowardly person in these threads over the last few months.

Again, clearly going out of your way to clearly miss the point.

No-one in government has yet said it’s a terror attack, and I think that’s concerning and worth discussing.

If you think there’s not even a comparison to be made when a church gets firebombed a couple of days after a synagogue gets attacked then that’s fine, that’s your prerogative. But I think that’s pretty hefty spin of your own.

I'm going to be totally honest here, there is a chap who has given an interview to some site (paper)
And to me he may have prompted the police response in that he may have been over dramatic in his plea for a response, don't make any of it right though, but that was my perception?

The ad hominems are always an encouraging sign I suppose. I am on record as saying that I hold Islamic extremism as a type of far right violence because it stems from an intolerance of a more liberal culture. Quite why I would seek to defend it is beyond me.

What you are doing is the equivalent of portraying all Christians as the same as the evangelical fundamentalists in the American Bible Belt.
