Horrendous news, hopefully stays as only injuries sustained but i do worry what the reaction is going to be on a national/international level. More division almost certainly.

Manchester synagogue: Two people killed in Manchester synagogue attack, with suspect also believed to be dead - police

Keir Starmer says the attack happening on Yom Kippur - the holiest day in the Jewish calendar - makes it "all the more horrific".

Awful, awful news. Already confirmed two people have died, not including the attacker although he's believed to be dead after being shot. Had a bomb on him too, bomb disposal unit have just turned up.

Sounds like he drove at people then got out and stabbed people, then tried to get into the synagogue.

Yeah, most definitely, unfortunately.

What an awful incident.

We need to wait for more facts though and not just jump to conclusions. Let's see what else is to unfold. Can see what it looks like on the surface, but I think we need to wait for more information

There's a video of it, it's fucking madness.

Bloke has bombs strapped to him, police shoot him while there's a poor bloke on the pavement who I assume has been stabbed

I hadnt seen the connfirmation of two dead. The other thing that struck me was the mention of a security guard being a victim. To need those at a place of worship is truly tragic.

It's always so cowardly isn't it, because they always target innocent people who can't fight back.

Kind of hoping it was a fake bomb around him so nobody else gets injured.

Brave of the police to shoot him with the risk of explosives as well!

They always aim for the biggest " mass " - the chest.

Undoubtedly the usual suspects will pile in, claiming he was murdered, due to him being shot twice, after being neutralised by the first shot.

Have seen some things say it's due to intelligence, hopefully just a precaution.

The sad depressing state we’ve now become, having to put hospitals on lockdown due to intelligence. It’s frightening how stuff like this can happen on our streets

Notice how mr Corbyn the leader of the ‘your party’ hasn’t made a comment either, what an utter wanker that bloke is

If the police believed he had a bomb, I can't see why anyone would have a problem with the police shooting him.

I am assuming they know that it WAS this bloke who carried out the atrocity.

Apparently the police arrived really, really quickly.

Oh I didn't have an issue, just saying it's brave to shoot at somebody who might be wrapped in explosives!!!

Another sickening terrorist attack in this country. Not really a surprise though is it when we have over 50,000 people on a terror watch list, thats the popluation roughly of Wrexham. This country is going.

I did see about SAS at hospitals, I really hope it's a false alarm and just them being cautious.

Fucking horrific. Well done to the emergency services on a fast and appropriate response.

Agree with others, the world is in a terrible state, atrocities from around the world streamed to our phones on a daily basis.

Maybe its always been like this but we've happily lived in ignorance until 24 hour news channels and social media because a thing.

Unfortunately we were able to live under fairly blissfull ignorance until we important masses of people who don't want to let us live in the same way.

Closing our eyes and pretending it isn't happening isn't really an option if we want this to stop. Although I expect the damage done is too late. As pointed out above, there's tens of thousands of people on watch lists.

Yup. It's been around for such a long time, but now it's right in our faces 24/7, with every single second documented.

The same will happen to the UK that happend to the Roman Empire, it might take another 100 years but it will happen.

Multiculturalism just doesn’t work when cultures want to live in the same place and not integrate fully.
