Here's my prediction for the manager role at city:
1. AT leaves by 'mutual consent' at Christmas.
2. Steve Kean sacked as Blackburn manager at Christmas.
3. Steve Kean installed as city manager in February, putting us on a run that is enough to take us just outside the relegation spots by the end of the season.
I think we will keep Thorn until the end of the season. He is the cheapest option and (no) money talks with our board. The only scenario in which I think he will leave is if we are a number of points adrift at the bottom of the league, which is not the case... yet. After managing in the Premiership, Steve Kean would want a lot more money than Andy Thorn signed up for (1 top flight managerial position before City vs. 0 managerial position before City). I'm happy to keep Thorn, as things stand. Some of the decision making is a little off at times, but have we had a manager in recent memory who was perfect? Of course we haven't, we all feel like this about the man at the top sometimes. The difference here is that relegation is starting to feel like a real possibility and there are no new signings to get excited about. I think, despite a couple of iffy decisions, Thorn's hands are tied by the playing staff that SISU have been responsible for assembling. Getting on his back is counterproductive (the players like him, from what I've heard, and SISU don't listen to fans about anything) and misguided. He's not the finished article, but it was naive to think he would be. We at least try to play a bit of football still - I recall many saying they would rather see a little flair coupled with a flirt with relegation than mid-table under Boothroyd's tactics. I know message boards are created for opinions, but if you think Thorn is the main contributor to our lowly League position I would suggest you are wrong!

He'll work on a week-to-week contract til the end of the season with the guarantee of a super-duper contract if he keeps us up. It could happen. And we can beat Southampton on Saturday - Cody and Hussey will put in great performances and Bell will set up the goals. Now, time to take my medication...

3. Lee Carsley sacked on New Year's Eve after one game in chage.
4. Oggy takes over and for his first game in charge picks Joe Murphy, Chris Dunn, Danny Ireland and Lee Burge in his first team 11.
We draw 0-0. Every subsequent game after this throughout the rest of the season we also draw 0-0. This is not enough however and we are relegated on April 1st, which is entirely apt.
I'm off to William Hill's as we speak! Got to be at least 2/1 all that lot coming right.
50/50 i'd say. Uninspiring and rather unimaginative tactics coupled with inadequate/lazy players. I don't want AT to go, I actually think he could do ok with a few half-decent players in the squad. We all know it's down to the board as to why we don't have any new players, purchased or on loan, and why anyone who shows even a glimpse of potential is immediately touted for sale.
To be fair to AT I think he could have done with a job at a lower level club first before being put in at the deep end with city. There's not many managerial jobs taken where you're given no cash, a squad decimated by sales and injuries, disheartened fans and a dishonest board. IF he manages to keep us up I think he'll come on leaps and bounds.
I'm not sure Andy Thorn is 50% responsible for our current predicament. I would place the majority of blame on the board (from a purely footballing perspective, our bargain basement team is getting found out), followed by the playing staff (i.e. experienced first team players not stepping up to the plate), then followed by Thorn (I missed the Burnley game, but have still seen a handful of decisions I have disagreed with). Whether those decisions have cost us many points is up for debate.
if god himself was manager he could do fuck all with these players, we have a crap team and manager because sisu are tight arses and don't want to buy some quality signings, why can't people see this????????????? WAKE UP AND SMELL COFFEE....We can only attract shite players because sisu are not spending, so the only option we have is to get rid off the weak link holding us back, which is sisu.

What on earth makes you think any other manager is going to come here to work with nothing.
I suppose football is so crazy you could find someone mad enough to try it, sigh.
