Mowbray

Tough place to come
Stevens team worked very hard
Controlled the game for long spells
Reice made a few save
Just deserts today, deserved to win
Determined not to dominate and lose
Without a cutting edge at times with players missing
Murphy came into the longer it went on
Didn't feel as if they threatened, only at times on the counter
Build success off a solid defence
Travelled up last night, better preparation. Not good to be sitting on bus 3 hours before a match
Steven Pressley is a good guy

Pressley

Great to be back
Most important things to win
Gave a good account of ourselves, played very well and nullified a very good Coventry side to few chances
89 good minutes undone at the end
Got to stop conceding goals
Fine margins
Worked exceptionally hard, game could have gone either way
Have to win games
Has a good rapport with the Coventry fans, they appreciated the hard work and understood the challenges he faced
Put foundations in place at Coventry, put the club in a position where they can build again
Fleetwood backroom staff say we are the best team they have faced

How has he worked that out? TM came in and said nothing was in place and everything had to be done from scratch. Pretty much a new squad, sorted out the training ground, sorted out scouting. What foundations does he think he put in place?

Quite funny how Pressley claims he put foundations in place and then Mowbray basically ripped everything up and started again.

What foundations did he put in place?
Mowbray has transformed the playing squad getting rid of the dross he brought it
Mowbray has changed the backroom staff by binning off Hockaday and Mcfarlane and bringing in Venus and Clapham
Mowbray and Venus is building a scouting network from scratch
Mowbray has spent cash tidying up Ryton.

I guess you could say he done some decent work with the academy and bringing players through giving Maddison, G Thomas and Haynes debuts but that's about it.

Dunno lol, just said the same thing in my last post. He did give youth a chance but that's about it. Maybe he's claiming credit for getting us back to the Ricoh

The scouting issue I believe that our owners had origanally cut the budget so we never had any when SP took over?
Remember this question being raised at the first trust meeting he attended.

Kept us up when we had a minus 10 points and no home games....
Then again I suppose anyone could have done that......

Well the fact that Pressley managed to does suggest exactly that

We did well with SP when we had Clark and Wilson. They were scoring for fun. But look how poor the rest of the team did. Once we didn't have these two players SP was shown for what he is. But the records show he was the manager when we overcome the 10 points deduction.

Let's see how he does at Fleetwood, had he stayed here any longer we would be playing division 2 football now, I suspect he will be managing a league 2 next season...if he lasts

I'm sure he has learned from his experience at CCFC. If he hasn't than he really is worse than I think he is. I wish him luck at Fleetwood.

Well let's hope he takes points from burton and sheff Utd. His side did OK for him yesterday but fortunately we got a huge slice of luck at the death. I hope he does well with them as although not quite up to it in the end for us he didn't moan or complain about the off field chaos we were experiencing.

Speaking to one of their fans yesterday who has followed them for 50 years when they had crowds of 90.
He was just hoping that they will play entertaining football as they have failed to do that for many years.

He'd best hope they get the Sixfields version of Pressley, rather than the Ricoh version then!
