Stalinism isn't socialism, Marx/Lenin would be turning in their graves if they were to visit DPRK or state capitalist countries such as China or the former USSR.

Well, I must have received those traits from my Britishness then.

That's a bit like saying Adolf Hitler wasn't a real Nazi.

Such a sweeping statement, in what way?

On a lighter note, I got a better quote for your signature

That post was directed at a comment about 7/7 being on par with 9/11, which isn't really, so I don't know where this comment has come from.

I said 7/7 should be remembered the same as 9/11. You then turned that into comparisons of how many died.

We do remember 7/7 anyway, hence there being memorials and TV shows once every year since it happened, so that point is incorrect.

Out of curiosity, what evidence do you have that suggests this.

It's difficult to disconnect immigration to this incident. By and large I believe immigration has been good for this country. However the untethered immigration of recent years importing extremist ideology from all corners of the globe I fail to see the benefit of.
I don't know how long it will take but I m convinced this country will be defeated from within. Far too weak and worried of causing offence while our enemies are ruthless and savage as proven today.

May the victim rest in peace. A sad and perhaps pivotal day

The fact that on the day people go "oh yeah" then carry on without any real thought. N it's not very well publicised is it? N evidence of what?

It's publicised at the anniversary of when it happened, what do expect? It to be thrown down our throats every day in the paper and on TV, that doesn't even happen in the USA.

Im sure you have.

Just that whenever someone does something extream in the name of a cause the common theme is to discredit them as not being part of that cause. Stalin was a Communist, whether what he did fitted in with what you consider Communisum or not is the only argument. But he himself was the leader of the Communist Party, just the same as all the more moderate Soviet leaders.

I ask this out of curiousity, but how do you view Gorbachev?

On Gorbachev in what way do you mean?

I haven't really studied Russia in depth past the revolution, accept I have read Trotsky's critiques of Stalinism and I know a bit about Stalinism (considering I haven't done it at school) but past WW2, I'm no where near as strong, I'm aware of Glanost and perestroika.

Ohh, ffs, I mean on the day people don't remember. On st George's day, people don't remember. Remembrance day only gets remembered cus everyone on tv has a poppy on. I mean it should be that everyone stops the think for a few minutes about it.

Interesting question, yes and no.

I didn't think he should reintroduce private property, although it was inevitable because it was a state capitalist economy but his reforms of restructuring the state are what I believe in scrutiny of government, pluralism and democracy free and fair elections, in principle I agree with those ideas, unfortunately, I lack the detailed contextual knowledge to go into much depth but I do plan to study the USSR (along a lot of other subjects) at Uni.

I do think that Gorbachev came too late though, Stalinism had entrenched itself into the state and from then, the USSR was doomed.

Agree completely. Its that kind of politically correct nonsense that will eventually turn the indigenous population into extremists as well. Branding people as racists for raising legitimate concerns will just turn people into racists.

The scum that did this today are pure cowards, and showed no remorse for what they did to that poor lad.

We do though.

You seem really nationalistic, why don't you mention the English Civil War amongst things we should celebrate, after all, that was a great moment in our history, like the French have their Revolution as too with the Americans. Much better sign of national pride than St. George's day, who is remembered for slaying dragons, although that isn't what he did.

RIP to this man. The scum who did this are absolute arseholes. There is no reason in the world to cut off another persons head.

And then to want to be filmed, is a sick joke.

There should be no one defending these 2 sickos, as what they did was utterley wrong.

Think of the poor victim and his family that now have to suffer, as a result of these 2 things, i cannot even call them humans.

Well said. I can't believe what I have been reading from SBT. If SBT is that against our country & the pride to be English, then why doesn'the fuck off to a country that matches his views. Oh probably coz benefits, education, health service, freedom, common decency are not on tap. Hang your head in shame SBT, to go on like you have, when a young man has been subjected to heinous crime is disgusting, disrespectful & disappointing.

What if the air ambulance used to take one of the suspects to hospital was needed somewhere else?

Doesn't it cost like 25k every call out or something silly like that?

Will these 2 blogs last in prison or get their own cell together and protection?

What a load of bullshit this is, you simply do not know what you are talking about, this thread moved away from the crime in question long ago and it wasn't me who took it of into another direction.

A) I said that the crime was disgusting, I don't know why people are missing this.
B) Nationalism is a concept I disagree with, I think it unnecessarily divides people, and to for you to say 'I can feck off' is ironic because it goes against the liberal democracy this country built itself on.
C) I stated that this could be a backlash against an ethnic community by which these murderers have come from is not representative of their wole community, furthermore, these extremists have increased in number because of situations that have made them more radical, US and UK invasions in the Middle East as well as the contentious Israel.

This started effectively because I was defending an ethnic minority, sticking to this countries principles.

You've either not read the whole thread, or have misunderstood my posts.

If that's true, that's the backlash I was on about, and also a terrible crime that will no doubt only increase divisions in society, a dark day.

That's the problem though, there are people out there eg. BNP and EDL members/voters with half a brain.

Look at my first post of the thread, it started when I questioned the use of a phrase, which I genuinely didn't know to who it applied to, Muslims as a whole, which would've been racist, or the murderers who committed the crime.

I read most of your posts & like many others found your messages/responses distasteful in their timing. You came across as anti-British almost. I'm not the only one who thinks your full of shit. I know what my country did during British Empire, but we weren't as Barbaric as The Germans in WW2. You saying reap what you sow, well I don't see that with Germany, no debt or rashioning after the war, now almost taking over Europe again, whereas we only recently paid off our WW2 debt. We certainly never carried out atrocities like 911 or today.

Multiculturalism, ha! My goldfish could of told you that wouldn't work. This religion simply doesn't mix with the outside world or its beliefs. Labour have done some real damage to this country. The sort of which, that can never be reversed.

It's extremely unfortunate but we need to know exactly why they did this and we can only find that out by keeping them alive long enough to answer questions.

What happens to them after that is of little concern to me.

The more I think about it the more angry I get. What right have these scum got to come into Britain, living off our over generous benefits, then murdering innocent young lads?

I dont mind people coming here but they should work and show some gratitude to the country that has given you a better life ffs.

They only care about their religion. There even able to claim benefits for their multiple wives in the UK.

I'm sorry, it doesn't matter what faith you are or what the colour of your skin is. Each walk of life carries nutters and extremists and the April Taylor case shows this. To use this as a case for banning immigrants is absurd.

My issue is that like a lot of things we seem to find it OK to remember people's sacrifices just one day a year. People are too afraid to celebrate Englishness because the likes of the EDL have tarred it with a negative image.
