Spoke to ex season ticket holder of around 20 years the other day who genuinely did not know we had played Bradford.
That is definitely becoming more frequent

I want ALL side to be pressured into talks, proper talks and not the media shite.

What would have been mentioned if SISU were ordered to pay Higgs? Imagine if the evidence shown (which it may be, we haven't seen the other side yet) says "Tim Fisher said CCFC deserve to pay etc etc", there would be uproar.

How do you propose all sides to be pressurised into talks ?
I don't see either side wanting talks.
In my opinion it has gone to far both sides hate each other. If i looked at it from both sides, I wouldn't deal with someone who was trying to sue me. From Sisu's side if I believed I was shafted on a an agreed deal I wouldn't be interested in doing a deal with said organisation. So its stalemate an impasse whatever the JR result.
So it comes down to one side being replaced and your not going to be able to replace the counsel and Acl. So that leaves only one option for Sisu. To take a hit on their investment and sell to someone who can do a deal with the counsel and get us back to the Ricoh.
Sisu don't have a plan to get ccfc playing in Cov again ever !!!
How can they be supported knowing this ?

Personally I think a promotion next season followed by relegation back to league one then a another promotion charge will get the fans going. We'll easily be getting 26-27k with 2 top 6 finishes in 3 seasons.

Wouldn't be so bad if we had no choice, but we all know why we are there and I refuse to support a greedy hedgefund.

that's only true if all things are equal, which they aren't, especially consider 3/4 of those 44 years were in the top flight.

If all things were equal Sunderland and man city would both have been joint favourite at 20-1 to win the league before the season kicked off, yet Sunderland were 2000-1 and man city 9-4

Yes I'm aware that clubs like Man U/Arsenal are likely to have more success than clubs like Sunderland/West Ham. The point is who has less league success than us? Somebody said compared to Rochdale we do ok,Rochdale!!!! not comparing us to Leicester/Derby/WBA but a club most fans nationwide see as a complete non entity.
Rochdale surely even we can compare favourably to them. Ok let's look.
2001/2 season finished 5th play-offs, 2007/8 finished 5th lost in play-off final at Wembley, 2008/9 finished 6th lost in final,2009/10 finished 3rd- automatic promotion. So that's 4 top 6 finishes in the last 12 years, and we haven't managed a single top 6 finish in over 44 years.
Yes we have played at higher levels, but even clubs who aren't considered giants of the game managed to finish high up occasionally in the top flight. Ipswich/Norwich/Blackburn/Derby all managed top 6 finishes when the financial disparities were not as great as they are now. It would be interesting to see if there is any other clubs has gone as long as we have without a top 6 finish,I certainly can't think of 1.I would guess that and I maybe wrong that no clubs comes within 20 years of our dubious achievement.

Even Wimbledon were more successful then us before they were raped.
Started again from nothing and may well overtake us in another couple of seasons.

And the first time in 44 years that we do have a genuine chance of a top 6 finish, we get an unnecessary 10 point deduction. It's not the councils fault though, obviously.

And it's not the fault of SISU either.

Is there anything hanging over us that could lead to any more points being deducted ?

I've been thinking that. Technically AFAIK the 10 points this season was part of the deal Otium had to take over the club. So unless Otium go pop I can't see how they can take any more off us.

Didn't the FL make certain conditions of the share being granted that definitive progress needs to be shown on the new stadium or that debts had to be settled too?

Yep.

So to answer wingy's question: No -10 points, but maybe lose the GS!

Another day in paradise for us fans isn't it. I read the threads ore in the vain hope of some good off the field news. Never happens; and today the bickering by some, including the obvious wum on another thread, is embarrasing :slap:.

I am still, however, looking forward to the game at P'boro on Saturday. Sitting in the the office with some of their fans today (I wrok there 2 days a week), and all they talk about is the on the pitch stuff. Just having a winge and feeling sorry for myself - speak tomorrow!

Chris Coleman blew play-off chases two years on the trot, some credit has to go to him.

We'd already blown last season before the 10 points Sisu had taken off us. You could have an argument this year, but considering most of our form was at the start of the year you could equally argue the Sixfields effect was to galvanise the team and now we're dropping back to our normal form.

That, or playing with a threadbare squad on a pitch deteriorating twice as fast as our competitors'.
