Expect to see him get a run in the 21s in the next couple of weeks - and then the bench by start of December

Another hard day of running on the grass today! Feeling goodnot long now #pusb

As long as they bring him back when his body is ready, and not sooner ala Willis

He's still only a kid that shone in a few matches. He could be the next Joe Cole, quality but a bit of a crock.

Disclaimer...I am by no means calling him a crock.

Based on what? He sustained an injury as do all footballers at some point.

My point is the hysteria around the kid is probably uncalled for at the moment.

It's hardly hysteria, he is an excellent prospect who will play at the highest level. Why shouldn't fans be excited by him? The only hysteria is you suggesting he is a crock.

I haven't said he's a crock. I said he could be. We just don't know. The lad played well in a few games, everyone reckons he will Be the main man and all will be rosy when he's back.

Lameiras and him linking up were awesome, lameiras struggles to get on the pitch at the moment. Maddison could come back and not be in the same form.

Aye but the pessimists seem to think the world is falling apart without Maddison, Willis and Johnson.

IMHO it will be like the end of last year for a while with Maddison coming off the bench for 20-30 minutes. Either way, great news and better to have more options on the bench!

No point rushing him back in I don't think, let him heal properly as I assume as he is still growing too it could be more damaging if not.

Put your away and re-read it.

He could be the next Joe Cole. Quality but a bit of a crock.

He could be, not he is. Can you prove he is or isn't a crock?

Evidence that he may be...2 seasons 2 bad injuries keeping him out for a good time.

Rich, it does read like you are saying he is a crock not that he could be.

The point was he may not be as brilliant as everyone seems to think he is going to be. He may get injured again, we shouldn't pin all our hopes on him. That's all.

On an earlier point... Willis suffered a 'knock' in the under 21's, on his knee I believe, rather than it being him coming back too early

The first bit is a valid point, he may well not be as good as people expect him to be. But every player may get injured at some time, hardly worth even suggesting he might be a crock.

I think he will turn out to be a top player fwiw.

Willis didn't even get a reoccurrence, he got a new injury. Just unfortunate

Congratulations Hill. All will soon be forgotten when you are chasing him around. He will be a lovely teenager before you know it.

How big was he? My little boy was 10 8
