Is it possible it will run in Parallels Desktop? I use this and it works well for most software. You can get it for about 50 quid and it runs Windows inside your Mac Link Here

Failing that, bootcamp would work but it means rebooting when you want to go between Mac / Pc mode

I really don't like the look of it. Saying that do u think I would run better on 8? As I'm only goin to be running inventor on the windows side I will hardly use it.

If you can get away with OEM then try these - Windows 7 OEM

Years ago they couldn't sell OEM without hardware but not sure now.

What is the inventor software?
