I'm pretty sure the cashless system had nothing to do with the club, given that it ACL/Kompass that managed the F&B's.

The badge was crap though.

Sorry but you're talking nonsense, we're not in a position to choose so very many things include who owns the club. You are somewhat miss guided because I don't ever recall supporting an owner of our football club (except maybe one & even he had 'baggage') and that's almost 60 years!

For someone that is forever claiming to support the team only, and to blame no one. you do spend a lot of time commenting on off field threads and saying how the council are to blame for things.

If you support the team then stick to the football side of the forum. If you are going to be forever supportive of any statement SISU make in the guise of CCFC, and suggest that supporting SISU is actually supporting the team then it is You that is talking nonsense.

Many people can see the difference between CCFC and the Owners, so why can't you?

Sorry but whoever the owners are they are all only interested in owning the stadium (that includes at least four other parties who wanted to buy the club on 'that condition', however CCC refused to discuss with any of them).

Investors in any club have to benefit, after all they must make a return on their investment, it's not rocket science, is it?????????

sorry but i was pointing out that when you said we need to own the stadium this is a lie, we need to own the lease hold which you then go on to confirm that by talking about other potential owners. so don't pedal the lie that WE need to own the stadium, especially if you are then going to confirm this to be inaccurate with your defence.

To me it's crystal clear (although the majority on this site can't see the wood from the trees, IMHO!), we need to own our own ground (either club or owners) and since the council have no intention of selling the Ricoh to SISU (or anyone else for that matter) the only way forward is to build a new ground.

Can you explain why we need to own the freehold and the ACL revenues as opposed to just the ACL revenues please. Oh and I'm all for a new stadium if it gets the club back to Coventry quickly.

I think you have a severe problem, I'm discussing (posting) about one aspect and don't have the slightest intention of slagging-off anyone of the parties (who ALL must share responsibility for our current situation, including previous owners). why should our previous owners share responsibility of us being in Northampton when only the current ones are keeping us there despite a better financial temporary offer being on the table at the Ricoh

If you choose not to go to Sixfields fine (won't lose any sleep about it) but you're the one missing out, enjoyed this afternoon and we deserved to win but hey-ho, not the end of the world. we're all missing out, i assume its costing you extra time and money to get to sixfields, SP and the boys are missing out in playing in front of decent crowds and we all saw how they responded to the crowd at MK, the crowd was the extra man on the pitch. local businesses are missing out. tell me who wins by SISU stubbornly keeping the team in Northampton

A Very Happy New Year to ALL who support the Sky Blues.obviously not timmy and joy otherwise we would never have left Coventry or at least we would have been back by Xmas

ACL's survival won't depend on one set of accounts either way.

There has never been a stadium in history that has survived with no permenant tenant. Did they get the Olympics as they had a permenant tenant and did they fail to get the rugby World Cup due to the unrest at the time of bidding. Many "normal" grounds have hosted more big concerts than the Ricoh. Leicester have approval now to host major events.

As I have said before I wish ACL well - history suggests they will fail - I hope and prey for the well being of Coventry taxpayers they can rewrite history.

I support the club, the team, the ladies team, the former players association - I cannot support the bunch who moved us out of Coventry.

If ACL can't survive without us then they're screwed and the losers are the Higgs and the council. If they've spent a year and have got no closer to a new stadium then the losers are us, the fans.

'There isn’t a lot of publicly available information about Preston IV, however it appears he’s played major roles in property investment companies in Europe, primarily in Russia. He also owns a vineyard in South Africa (more on this later) where he throws huge parties with the Prince/Princess of Monaco, and his wealth is conservatively estimated at around £150 Million'

I do remember hearing Brendan Garfoyle (sp?) ACLs preferred administrator who had done Leeds (?) and he said he was surprised ph4 was interested and suggested he didn't have that much money. It's alright being worth £150m but if it's all tied up in investment, property, etc, it doesn't mean he has £150m cash in the bank ready to spend.

Do you not free up equity from your investments or property?

Joe blogs who owns a house can create equity tomorrow?

So if you have 150 million equity (conservative estimate) then you can most likely afford it?

So why did he fail to buy any of the clubs he tried to buy, and why did Brendon Guilfoyle openly state that he didn't have enough money to buy the club in an interview on cwr? He dealt with him on his enquiries to buy Leeds, you have just read about him on Wikipedia.

Couldn't the same be said for our owners, do they really have 25 million spare in the bank for lego bricks, or are they looking for investors to put their money in?

Maybe he did his due diligence properly.

Our club hasn't been for sale since SISUE took over. Even when we thought there was a chance of a new owner when admin was occuring all that was happening was the bad parts and debts were available, not the club. Would it have cost him 70m to get it off SISUE?

True and would you spend that sort of money on a lucky bag to find it empty.

There isn't much in the lucky bag to buy....a few average league one players, a name and a training ground.

Exactly. We have been left with hardly anything of value with massive debts. And no idea where all of the debts have come from. But to me it don't mean they should be given everything they want.

To be fair. It's on quite a few sites suggesting his wealth is 150 million. Others suggest $250 million.

I am struggling to find anywhere that says he could not really afford Leeds or Coventry ( at a genuine price)

If you can please feel free to show it.

I would like to think you may have a bit of an idea of why he or anyone else was unable to buy CCFC. Otherwise I would be a bit worried about your ability to grasp simple concepts.

I believe if a solution is not found and quickly there will be no Coventry City Football Club. The new ground idea will fail of that I am certain. Then I think the shit will hit the fan. IMO getting through this season is questionable, starting a new season next August doubtful. Joy Sepalla will lose no sleep closing Otium down.

It was a radio interview on the Shane O'connor show.

The Leeds administrator has been on a few times and on one occasion he was asked about ph4. He politely said he never had the resources to buy Leeds and would be very doubtful if he could mount a serious challenge to buy this club.

Didn't PWKH say he was a nice guy and left it at that?

The only reason he was hawked around was because your chum Elliot was "promised" the big job. Lets face it prior history suggests that tends me be his major concern when choosing a suitor for the club.

Were you all excited when dinsah wanted the club?

I don't think Elliot will be part of any new ownership package, hence his return to his motor factor business. Haskell and all the potential purchasers have gone to ground for a reason, their is no viable way to purchase the club as a business from SISU as they have wedged so much debt up its arse in the form of funding loans that any price would be prohibitive. IMHO their are only 2 scenarios available, you have to buy the arena and the council will not sell to you so that rules that one out, you liquidate the club to offset profits earned in other parts of the company which is highly likely from a distressed debt fund. Don't even go down the line of building a new ground, the spectator capacity being touted of 12k is no where near enough for the fan base and their is no way national government will approve another stadium within the surrounding area. Its all a desperate game of cat and mouse that SISU will never win unless they can win the JR, the club in the meantime will continue to be used as a pawn in the middle of a land grab. NOPM

Even if they win the JR it will not give them a right to the Ricoh.
Ether CCC/Higgs sell to the highest bidder, or ACL get out another loan and pay the Council back?
It is just part of the Sisu hate games they hate our City Hate our Team, Hate our fans They Hate every thing Coventry just want to destroy us because they feel they can.

SISUE paid a quid for our club IIRC. They don't have money of their own to run our club. They rely on investors to squander their money on Joy's plans when they could be making money on us by bringing us home. Yet I suppose you would say that SISUE have the money to run our club Grendull.

Without wanting to get into an argument, I think I am right in saying that ACLs last set of accounts filed were for the financial year ending 31/5/2012, which is about when the rent strike started is it not? So it is not true to say they made a profit net of football income. The accounts to be filed in February will be the first insight we have into their financial well-being without the football club (and even then some will say that there was still a large amount of income generated from football up until the end of their last financial year given that match fees, car park revenues, catering monies etc were still being received).

Non-payment of rent would not impact on Profit unless written off as a bad debt, so the rent could still be declared as income even during the period that SISU stopped paying.
