I really don’t care about away fans prices If they don’t like it don’t come and if they do we should take very penny off them that we can.

I agree with them. £37 is ludicrous for a ticket to a Championship game.

Nobody is forcing them to come watch it on the tv or pay the money. If it was me and you could get away with it I would make it even more to help subsidise the home fans tickets.

It would when people say enough enough and stop going.

I've raised this before , don't agree at all with different pricing as I go to watch Coventry City not the opposition.
I've picked 4 home games before Christmas to go to (Norwich 37, Swansea, Sheffield Wed, Cardiff at 30), I prioritise the cheaper matches and definitely skipping Luton.

Why would Luton cost more than Sheffield Wednesday?

Went through East Mids airport on Tuesday, over £7 for a frigging pint of lager. Many things feel overpriced these days for me.
They fuck about with the quality of the experience, Ie 12.30 kick offs but it doesn’t reflect in the prices.

CBS now charge £10 for a pie and a pint which seems absurd

It’s expensive but not compulsory I don’t think I have bought anything since the arena was built.

People like to feel that their expenditure in and around the arena lends to the gradual improvement of the club and match day experience however there comes a point when folk should just say …..You’re taking the piss now’

Well unless you think the prices in the CBS should be subsidised, that’s a pretty normal price for stuff these days.
The inflation hike of 2022 was an absolute wallop and is still being felt today when we think of what some basic things “should “ cost.

Maybe because one has just come down from the Prem and were one of the favourites to go back up, and the other were favourites to get relegated.
Plus it's on the tele so crowd will be less.

And so to the hope that fans come to their sense’s one day. The German way of ticket pricing is better.

I always find the issue with that though is that the fans buy into the ethos of the leagues acting as one, with the ultimate betterment of the country, and it’s national team being a key point.

Over her the general gist is we’re all out for ourselves and we’ll have our teams trample over others if it meant we come out on top

as such you have a ruthless race to the top, meaning more money is needed to buy better players

It started off as a joke, but there's a worrying amount of posters on this forum that actually seem into this kind of thing.

Doubt it's actually Italia, I'd imagine he's currently looking into franchise car parking opportunities in the Charlton area.

That’s not absurd at all…?

Pints are £5+ most places. A pie for £5 isn’t absurd.

If you're OK to walk for about 20 minutes park up on/near Watery Lane (just outside the zone) and jump on the m6 via Corley services back door opposite Corley Reclamation yard on Highfield Lane.

We always seem to be at the top of the price scale for food and beverage in the annual price of football survey. But for me the bigger issue is we're paying top prices and getting shit service and poor quality food.

Does anyone actually know the split of who runs the matchday food and drink and how the revenue is divided between us and Frasers?

On the F&B side of things, people should vote with their feet and opt out of paying for substandard products.

I’m partial to a HT pint and if I’ve travelled up to the game I’ll end up buying something if I haven’t brought food with me… I regret buying the crap every time!

The club will charge for concession stands, if they put the rental up then the stuff you buy goes up. Dhillons pints have gone up a pound inside the stadium this season, the products still the same and they have less folk working in the kiosk. Where we used to have drinks in the ground we just have the one now and the consumption of drinks bought at Tesco seems to be on the increase outside and Greggs is busier than ever. Folk will only bear so much cost if you are getting an inferior product in the same way that they wont pay for a ticket when they can watch in the pub. You can only squeeze the pips so far.

Well exactly, we end up not buying anything at the ground because it’s a rip off.
