I've been saying for weeks (not because we lost) but I don't see how they can be promoted at all unless they ground share. Rules is rules...

Using the money to build a new stadium and increase revenue streams to secure a solid debt free future is quite probably the best use of PL money any club has ever done.

There's no guarantee that they won't survive either, especially with Everton quite likely to get a points deduction for numerous breaches of ffp rules, and other clubs possibly following suit.

There are other teams that will probably struggle to finish above Luton, such as Sheff Utd, Wolves, Fulham, Crystal Palace, to name just 4. So everything is possible for Luton, and we may be surprised by their recruitment.

They won’t survive, teams like them can get up for the odd cup game but they won’t be able to do it regularly they are going to get stamped all over, VAR will be no friend of theirs look how it affected them last week. Everton could have a ten point deduction and still finish well clear of Luton.

It’s a good way for them to spend the money but for the viewer that has paid for it the value isn’t there.

They will have to rely on loans not sure it’s character building or developing a player like Doyle to play the way they play and the beatings they will get.

The ground is being brought up to spec.

Too much is being made of Kenilworth Road.

Almost all grounds outside teams who have been in the PL recently do not meet PL requirements, including our own.

Middlesbrough for instance had to spend £5m on the Riverside when they were promoted to the PL in 2016.

Dont bother just get a dodgy firestick. 80 a year and I've got everything.

Sky tried charging me £100 a month for sports and box sets etc. Not even movies and BT Sport, if I wanted that too it was £130

And they wonder why people now stream

If you combine this with jibbing into the CBS on a kid’s season ticket then just imagine the savings

They already have planning permission. From what I read it's all about press and TV facilities

All the teams playing in the championship grounds should be suitable for the Premiership if not then they shouldn’t be allowed in.

Shouldnt be allowed up, deny them the opportunity until they can build a ground that’s fit for purpose

Look, before the Play Off final Luton had only lost 2 in 19 to our 1 in 19. They deserved to be where they were . They were 3rd and before some accountant prick got hold of things and worked the lucrative play offs into things they would have gone straight up. I think we need to be careful of a sour grapes label.

Macclesfield and Stevenage were not allowed promotion to the football league in the 90s as their grounds were not up to scratch. If I remember correctly football league Chester were homeless at the time and used Macclesfield's Moss Road ground. Good enough then but not for Macc. The teams saved may have been Wigan and Torquay?

Once again a lack of consistency from footballing authorities. From memory these clubs were made aware well in advance they wouldn’t be promoted, and even asked if planning permission was submitted/ work had begun could they be promoted on this basis and they weren’t.

Similar to our suspended points deduction, at the very least Luton needs to have a suspended points deduction. But, Luton have been in the championship a couple of seasons and in my opinion if the work can’t be completed by the start of the season they shouldn’t go up, maybe even before the end of the season they are promoted. I would say the same thing even if we wouldn’t benefit from them not being promoted.

Press facilities and floodlights.

PL grounds now need a permanent TV studio and extra bright LED floodlights.

Ours aren’t bright enough for Ultra HD TV.

If you saw the Middlesbrough ones they could do all that fancy flashing bollocks before the game. Ours take about 5 minutes to get bright once turned on!

Don’t be ridiculous- our first season at the Ricoh the work wasn’t completed. Last season we had to postpone several games.

I mean. Its not exactly the same is it?

You seen the state of sky sports news now for example? Absolute no mark spanners who know nothing about football discussing Messis new pants and Ruben Neves pass completion rate while sipping a coffee and saying things like 'hashtag sick'

You feel you get value for money with that?
Oh and then you pay for BT sport on top for a few more games. And then you pay for movies. Etc etc. Its an absolute shambles nowadays

It's no excuse ultimately. Breaking the law is breaking the law.

If you want to do it that's fine. Just don't understand people justifying it that's all.

I pay for full TV package as I'm a snob who likes to rewind and record etc. That said I download the odd movie but I'm not going to say it's ok because cinema tickets are expensive etc

Lads fuck Luton, they went up and we didn't. They'll likely come back down again in record fashion but if they get a new ground out of it fair play

Why don't you just not have Sky Sports, if you can't afford it and/or don't want to pay?

Surely that's the obvious alternative? You could always go down the pub.

The pricing in the UK is a rip off but people still pay it. I pay €30 p/m for DAZN which includes all Serie A games, major League Cup ties, a few EFL games a week, La Liga and all of the PPV boxing in the UK.

I think Reading got "promoted" in the 90s but Elm Park was not up to scratch so they had to stay down. They built the Madjedski and promptly got relegated to Div 2 (or league 1 as it is now)
