She's allowed to go but I wouldn't recommend her posting a picture at the ground because the club spy is on the lookout.

Right, this attitude can fuck off.

There are no rules to which football team you support, and nobody's being a gatekeeper about who can and can't support ours.

There's nothing wrong with supporting any team; what's annoying is when people who have picked a team because it wins every week then starts giving it the large one to die-hard supporters of other teams. That can fuck off. But some kid in Thailand or Canada with a love for Manchester United? Sound, I hope that they enjoy their support, in whatever form it takes.

And this kid supports Coventry City; he's hardly a glory grabber, is he.

It’d be fairer to allow people to give tickets away, but doing so costs them points.

Defeats the purpose and is an administrative nightmare.

It’s a fact of life that whatever system you have, people can just buy a ticket and sell it on to a 3rd party.

Oh yeah there’s no way it’d work. But it’d be absolutely fair.

I don’t have a problem with someone buy the tickets and giving them to friends and family.

People are only upset at this lad getting a ticket because it’s a massively oversubscribed game. If it was Hull away on a Monday night, I suspect less people would be so upset about it.

Me personally if it’s your ticket you should do what you want at home. but the club clearly beg to differ BUT away because points come into play. if you have no intention of going then it should go to someone else otherwise the points and tickets will stay the same for the top bracket

really?

I was speaking to a few people Monday at Plymouth. they stand at the front every game. at plymouth near the back loads of empty seats

these same people have had kick offs with disabled fans in the past as a result

I’m certainly not losing my shit, I will always be in the top points bracket every game so doesn’t bother me.

Seems @GIMOC has a ticket too. It’s funny those like yourself that don’t attend away games who are really bothered by the discussion even though it will never concern you.

Are you going to apologise in my dm’s again?

Thanks I’ll be there backing the lads with my fellow supporters. Not feigning outrage on the internet over total nonsense. Hope the tv coverage is good

If you asked most fans, they’d have no issue with small allocations like this going first to those who go to every away game anyway. There’s some issue around people short cutting that when they don’t have the points, but for the numbers doing that it probably isn’t worth the hassle.

Totally agree, are you making this one Brighton?

Only pub we ever found round there was a Conservative Club which I think has gone now. Not the greatest away day.

Without wanting to wade into a moral argument about Argentinians having tickets. Seeing as I regularly supply my Argentinian girlfriend with tickets and she didn't even know we existed before 18 months ago.

I am currently stuck in Hitchin and will be on Saturday morning, so if anybody last minute has a ticket spare etc please let me know as I will be 20 minutes away and it's probably the closest match to me all season.

(P.s. I'm a peasant with only 820 loyalty points so couldnt get one myself).

No-not enough points on a measly 1400. For Brighton away, the Railway just next to the station might be a ‘home’ pub but still fine.
