some luton fans must go to away games just to get to see them play. their ground is so small.
ridiculous how they were allowed into the prem with a window box for a ground.

Ridiculous that you think teams should be promoted based on how big their ground is rather than how good they are at football.

well, they had to do some work on the ground to make it a little less shit than it was before the start of the season. so there are clearly some rules around it.
just saying, they have been dicking around with that tin-pot ground for years. doesn't hurt to hurry them along a bit.

To be fair they went up before they expected to and are planning a new ground.

I also don’t think, given our history of stadiums, we should be belittling others on theirs.

They’ll hopefully have something more banterously witty to chant than ‘we made you cry on the telly’…

Yet I hear no cry for Bournemouth to increase theirs, barely 1000 more than Kenilworth Rd. All sour grapes.

wasn't so much about the capacity, more to do with the level of shitness.

One could argue that Selhurst Park is one of the biggest death traps in English football.

Leeds is worse.

Worst away end I've been in the top two divisions.

Couldn't believe what I saw in December. Horrible and £45 ffs

I hate Bramall Lane. Shit acoustics and a horrible concourse.

Awful away end.

Yeah, I was sort of at the top of the first tier (not exactly tiered), could see fuck all down the opposite end on the near side. Was better when they put us in the corner over the other side.

Yeah that's awful but not dangerous.

I'd worry if there was ever an emergency at Elland Road. Same with QPR.

Yes but they are coming down with parachute payments along with the other two - the good players will move on if they can

They’ll be a real force next season; talk of the league being weak is wide of the mark, IMO.

It was dreadful and badly organised, saw police arguing with incompetent stewards and no one seemed to have a clue.

QPR is antiquated but at least, in my experience anyway, the police and stewards seem to know what they're doing a manage the crowd accordingly, not the case at Leeds.

In terms of a structure though, QPR is clearly a risk.

In the days of extreme health and safety, I'm surprised they allow high capacities in that end. Could they really conduct a fire drill getting all fans out in a suitable time?

I still love those old ends, but it's interesting to see them still being used in this day and age. I wouldn't ever want to see them replaced.

I was about to post the same. This season was my first time at Elland Road and I was surprised at how antiquated the away stand was. It took an age to actually get out at the end. In an emergency there is no way you would use those exits. The ‘tunnel’ from the car park to the away turnstiles was interesting too. Presumably for the safety of visitors, stopping an encounter with the natives. I’ve never seen anything like that before.

Not sure when they changed it but it never used to be like that when away fans were in the other corner

I'm not so sure - The players and Edwards look physically and mentally exhausted I am not sure they will have it in them to go again

They'll be up there but don't see them winning the league at a canter

I was in the bottom section at Elland Road and didn't find it *that* bad tbh

The concourse for our section used to be used for hospitality

Every other time I have been there that part of the ground wasn't the away end

St Andrews up there for biggest shit hole

When we were at "home" there there was one occasion where the toilets overflowed and there was a literal rives of piss running out of the concourse and down the stairs of the stands

Piss hole maybe more accurate

They'll be alright but doubt they'll get automatics.

They aren't that much better than Sheff Utd really. Burnley will definitely be the team to fear.

In that case, you could say the same about us after the end of the season. Not sure anyone has said they’ll win it at a canter. The point is that once again it’ll be a tough league.

You should try some of the away ends in the Thai league , miles away from the pitch.
