Had a similar discussion with someone after the game.Best debut by a Centre Back I have seen for the City in a long time. Won his headers, stood up to their attackers, knew where the space was to relieve pressure. Fingers crossed he carries in on in this vein.
Very good & I expect he'll get even better with games too. He played within himself a little imo, choosing the safe option with his passing etc. He has a lot more in his locker which I'm sure we'll get to see as he gets fitter & used to the way we play.

Didn't really show it too much yesterday but he's better on the ball too imo.he kinda had the Hyam type feel about him , calm,strong and commanding, never put a foot wrong.
