We all have opinions here mate, mine differ from yours. I'm about the same age as you. If you read earlier posts you will see that my family also suffered at the hands of a pissed up bastard. I'm not religious either, but I still wish the driver who caused mayhem in my family, the most shite life ever, never forgetting what he did, living with it every day until he burns in hell (if there's such a place).
Incidently, I also lost a son (aged just over a week). At the time the hospital were unaware of diabetes problems incurred during my (ex) wifes pregnancy. My son died as a result - he had also contracted diabetes, but in no way could I blame Walsgrave. They just simply didn't know. This happened in 1977, long before many of todays medical checks were put into place. Whereas Luke McCormick, and the drunk who killed my sister, had a choice. Drink and drive or drink and not drive or simply no drink. The options were there.
And as for calling McCormick "a silly youth who's bad mistake caused so much damage" is totally outrageous! What planet are you on?
I'm sick of the "do-gooders" in this world. That's why the country is in such a shite state! Forgive and forget? You're joking!

Why would you defend this man? It's unforgivable what he did.
We all have decisions to make in life, he made one that paid the ultimate consequences. Those two boys will never grow up to have a chance at the life that he has.

Did he go to the wedding and accidently drink alcohol? Did he accidently not book a room? Did he accidently forget he had to be somewhere?

He was twice over the limit. To me that is sober enough to make decisions like driving or not. Sober enough to decide to get a taxi or not. He could afford to get one. Certainly not sober enough to drive at over 100mph though.
