Wouldn’t say an awful lot will buy without intention of attending, I think some people play it by ear. But certainly more than enough people do it. Very cuntish, the worst player of this game.

It’s pretty simple really. It’s a way of not having to attend and still collect points so they have first dibs for games like the quarter final at wolves. I wonder why people want to be in the highest points tariff?I can't see the point as the only reward for getting points is being able to get away tickets. Why get away tickets for the points and then sell the tickets on? Makes no sense.

Wolves was our first quarter-final since 2008. People are not collecting points in the hope of a one of chance against a big club every 15 years.It’s pretty simple really. For these people to be in the top bracket initially they needed to put the time and effort in before the points scheme even started. Plenty of away games reach a low points tally or general sale.
As someone who does 10-15 away games a season, I know I'm going to miss out on the smallest allocations.
We do a out 18/19/20 a season. Never missed out yet.
There are few we Luke to do or we'll do if my son has not been to a ground before, but we can be choosy.
We're doing Sheffield United and then probably Hull and Luton. Cant face the M5 on a bank holiday so will watch Plymouth on the tele. We went down there last February for our game.

8 people in my network. 6 of us over 2K points now and the other 2 over 1.9K. We all went to away games in L2. If you went in L2 you are now not collecting points to sell your ticket in the Championship.

If you do 10-15 away games a season (assuming you havnt just started doing that) you'll be fine for every game. I do around that and im never anywhere near the cutoff for tickets.
Yeah - I think there's a bit of an urban myth about the extent of it.Maybe so, but it's a risk. No one knew we would progress that far or get to Wembley again. Seems a lot of hassle for something that probably won't happen.

Before you dismiss my observation it would be helpful if you actually saw it first hand, ask around and you’ll get invited into the WhatsApp group. I don’t know why you all keep mentioning tickets went on general sale as if the club don’t use the points system before going to general sale, it’s just a lazy argument. They’ll have been people buying tickets from fans without knowing it’ll have gone to general sale at some point.That only works when games are sell outs and most of our games went to general sale. It only works when you’re selling when demand exceeds the supply. Given that we haven’t sold out every away game, the demand hasn’t always been there so no idea how this cabal of elite members are selling tickets to people who can just buy one using their own account and collecting points.

Anything above 1200 and you’re more or less guaranteed to get a ticket for any allocation of 2,000+ for most of the season. So for the people complaining about availability now, if you’d done the cup games, the midweek aways and got your STs, you’d be getting tickets to the big games.
I think Plymouth will be 1800 pts & Luton will be 1900 being the last away game of the season more people will have collected points by that time.I've been doing the away games for years, I'm on 1690 points. I believe Oxford was 1700 initially before dropping down to 1600? Next away game I attend should tip me over into the top percentage bracket. Hoping for Plymouth tickets.
The point people are trying to make is that its not the high bracket points holders doing this its perhaps the middle range points people. Most games are not selling out until people jump on the band wagon the last few weeks. You’ve mentioned you’re getting tickets from your mate, that’s just another example of this happening where tickets are going to the wrong people. I’m not saying you don’t deserve to go, what I’m saying is this is another example of people jumping the queue. I would suggest this happens every week, so it would be fair to say when the club release the tickets to the top points tariff at first, theres a percentage that are being used by others the points holder knows, which backs up my argument all along.
