Has the club ever released how many are in each band? I think this would be useful for planning when you have groups of friends in different bands.

I'm interested to where I'd be with 1300 points. Thinking top 4k? Anyone clever been able to roughly work it out?

Club have never released and doubtful they'd do so....have never seen any other club release this info either thinking about it.
Best guess is when demand is high it'll give a decent indication though that at the high bands of 1600 pts plus go to majority away games as an average.
920 for your 4 x ST pts
Home cup pts.....say 120pts for the 4 years (haven't checked)
Wembley....30pts (guess)
Big away cup games.....30pts (guess)
That's 1100
500pts for away games for 3 past seasons plus current...over 10 away games for at 1600pt mark and we've got quite a few with big points too
I'd guess at close to 2k over 1600pts
What the numbers would look like for other bands below would be anyone's guess but I'd guess at 700 within each band for next for next few bands

It will also change next year significantly as think a much larger portion of our fan base will have the ST pts for all season so we'll see away games sold at higher pts. Although we do have over 60% of our away games that go to general sale based on the last 2 seasons

There's at least 1500 fans who have >1500 points as Oxford never made it to 1500 points band.

I don’t understand why we haven’t asked this in any of the supporter forums as it would be very useful for people to know.

In the meantime could potentially do a poll on here to gauge the percentages and extrapolate that across the wider fan base? Give you a very rough idea

Logically, you would think the club would set the top points threshold for each game at the lowest level that guaranteed everyone above it a ticket.

So going by the Sheff Utd sales, there are currently more than 2,800 people on 1400 points, but less than 2,800 on 1500.

And looking at the Oxford game, there are slightly less than 1,500 people with 1700, but not much as it sold out instantly at 1600.

I have been thinking about it myself as if we get promoted tickets will probably be even more competitive to get. And given most prem games are 3k away allocation you’d probably want over 1500 points to get a ticket to most games (although that will reduce to 1300-1400 when the points are wiped in summer).

Been thinking similar. Get wiped down to 1200 if we get to the promised land but doubtful I'll get into a closed shop of 3k!

Yeah you might be out of luck there.

I think I should be around 1500 after the wipe so hoping I'd be alright in the prem

Probably wait till we get to the Prem before being worried about having enough points for the prem

Yeah, but that will be because people with higher points totals didn't buy.

Not all people on higher points will go to away games, so I would think the amount in the upper bands is even higher

not sure what you mean - if you don't go to away games you wouldn't be in the upper bands.

I get your point, but then it will be too late

If/when we do get there I imagine demand for away tickets will be huge so unless you have the points built up beforehand you won't stand a chance

What I'm trying to say is not all people in the upper band go to all away games
I understand what you are saying but the build up of season tickets over the years, Brum and Covid seasons, added to cup games and some away games still adds up

Not sure those people will have much to complain about. Plenty of tickets the previous 3 seasons have reached general sale.

The points system only takes into account the previous 3 years + the current one. Birmingham/covid etc are irrelevant.

A ST holder who goes to home games, cup games and the odd away game will only be around 1000 points

Would probably be nearer 1100 with the amount of cup/play off matches we have had in the last 3 seasons.

I have 1170 as a st holder for many years but only do a few always, but I won’t ever get much higher if the allocations are always sold out at 1300/1400 and above, bit of a bummer really but managed to do Swansea and Sheffield Weds.
The main problem is waiting for grandkids levels before buying, they’re only on 970!

Fans who attend most away games will have 2000+ points and regally you see the same faces every away game so there is a hardcore of 1200-1500 who go nearly all away games .

A bit more I think. The details are here, 920 for 4 years season tickets alone.

https://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/2024/july/17/tic/

One unfortunate effect of the system while we are playing well is that it locks out anyone who hasn't had a season for the full 4 years, maybe that makes sense but I'm not sure it doesn't end up preventing a few potential younger fans from taking in the odd away game.

If it ever got to the stage that no away games reached general sale/low points range, the club would have to look into a percentage going to a ballot.

At the moment that is not needed, as plenty of opportunities for people to do away matches this season if they wanted to.

Yeah let's really upset the people who put the hard yards in miles away on a midweek and take time off work etc by reducing their allocation and offering it someone who fancies a nice day out, I m sure they won't mind.

It's what most teams who consistently sell out away tickets quickly do.

But of course, they also have multi year long waits for season tickets, so I think we are a long way off from needing to do it.

I had a look and I do not think there are going to be any more chances unless you've got north of 1200 pts.

If there was a Tues night match some distance away maybe but the remaining away fixtures are 3pm Saturday & one 3pm Easter Monday. (Sheff Utd on a Fri night is already sold out I think).

I’m at 1420 and didn’t get a ST in 22/23 with only a few games that season, probably 50-odd points.

So I’ve built my points up v quickly and the only away games I’ve missed since 2024 is Plymouth and Burnley midweek.

Next season I want to get the 100% attendance rate. I’ll fall a little bit short this year.

It is just the way the away fixtures have ended up being ordered this season. Luton and Plymouth two of the smallest allocations in the division.

If anyone struggling on Hull I can help as that's the only one I can't make from now until Wembley. I appreciate it means you'll be giving me points and even more of a closed shop, but I'm playing cards and drinking the night before which won't finish until around 4am so giving it a swerve.

Talking of Plymouth, what's with those ridiculous 2 seats on their own in the new stand next to the aisle? Triggers me every time I see them on tv.

I'm on 1140 points - that's season tickets, most home cup games, Wembley games, and the Wolves FA Cup quarter final last year. Used to go to most away games but can't any longer. I really enjoy being able to watch away games - the Now TV subscription has turned out to be better value than I thought with a few away games switching to 12.30 kick-offs (I know this is a pain to many though) or being picked up as the main games etc.
