So as we head into February with our top scorer on 5 (isn't it great being a City fan?), does anybody know what the lowest ever figure is for our end of season top scorer?
My distant memory seems to recall Speedie was top with about 9 in 89/90 and possibly Gallacher with 9 in 91/92.
I think even Dublin finished on 9 one season as top scorer?
I thought that we had finished with a top scorer on less than 9 in a season in the last 30 years. But then, my memory is not going to be anywhere near as good as some as others on here.
The lowest I can find since we joined the league is W Morgan who scored 7 in 1920-21. Nobody else got more than 4. Needless to say, we were rubbish then too.
At least a couple of penalties included in Bellamy's tally, it's my recollection that he had enough chances, but was very poor when put through with just the keeper to beat.
