Hope you dont mind Skybluefaz but just wanted to put this picture on showing the West Terrace at HR full to the rafters ( Memories ) we won`t get that type of support at the Ricoh . unless they lower the roof on three sides and reduce the seating . (atmosphere solved)???:claping hands:

Great day that. Felt really sad when I left the ground for the last time clutching a piece of the hallowed Highfield Road turf!

You think you've got it good. My mate laid his entire backyard with FIFA approved, and authenticated astro turf.

Still give him shit about that

and at the same time as spending millions to do it remove several of the income streams like the Rugby World cup, the pop concerts, etc ............. and leave the need to spend millions to increase the size if ccfc ever gets promoted  Why on earth would ACL do that simply so CCFC can say they have a bit better atmosphere ?

you only need to block off seats like they did last season on the corner sections.......... or better yet have a successful football team ....... now that really would be a novelty

Agree OSB58, But its a football stadium 1st and foremost.
I could`nt give a shit about the rugby world cup or pop concerts. The football club dont see the revenue it generates, and until it does

COUNT ME OUT.

what do you think actually pays for the stadium, its operation and up keep ? it isnt ccfc even if they did pay the rent

its a football stadium first and foremost 25 or so days a year .......... the rest of the time it is an events venue and has to operate in that market.......... The stadium cannot survive under its present owners or any other owner solely on football based income. And CCFC do not have anywhere else to go play

Then say the club get their hands on the stadium ........... think they might care a whole lot about the other income and wouldnt be looking to spend millions to maybe regain it........... but if the stadium is no longer big enough they wont regain it

suggest if you want a future for the club with a share at least of the income you should give a shit!

I would have loved CCFC to have built a stand at the Ricoh to mirror the old West terrace. What I mean is, 2 tier behind the goal. That would have been class. At least that end would be fuller than other areas most of the time.

approach local businesses, get them to buy 10 tickets for each home game and pay for the cost of producing the banner promoting the company.

For that CCFC will use the banners to cover the top 10 rows around the stadium

supporting local business, makes the stadium look better, getting bums on seats and zero cost. It really isnt rocket surgery !

How about we "higher the seats" ? It would be cheaper.
