Get your money on a low-scoring affair between Coventry and Doncaster
Goals tend to be at a premium when these two meet and this Saturday's meeting at the Keepmoat will be no different.

Latest odds More goals in the 2nd half than in the 1st 6/5
CLICK TO BET: Doncaster (27/20), Draw (21/10), Coventry (2/1)

Coventry City travel to the Keepmoat Stadium this weekend on the back of a five-match undefeated streak against fellow Championship strugglers Doncaster Rovers.

The Sky Blues’ rookie boss, Andy Thorn, will be hoping this run can continue on Saturday as his City side, placed 21st in the table, look to bounce back from a painful stoppage-time loss to Burnley last weekend.

Meanwhile, Rovers gaffer Dean Saunders, who is also relatively inexperienced as a manager, started his Doncaster reign impressively but has since suffered three consecutive defeats, with his side now sitting in a lowly 23rd position.

Rovers are rated as the 27/20 favourites in bwin’s 3Way football betting market, with the draw priced at 21/10 and an away win available at odds of 2/1.

The draw will certainly have its backers as there has been nothing to separate the two sides in their past two meetings in South Yorkshire, including the 1-1 sharing of the spoils in March.

Fewest home goals Fewest away goals Fewest first-half home goals Fewest first-half away goals
Doncaster (3) Coventry (3) Doncaster (0) Coventry (0)
Bristol City (4) Leicester (4) Reading (0) Portsmouth (1)
Watford (4) Portsmouth (5) Watford (0) Derby (1)
Millwall (5) Bristol City (5) Bristol City (1) Reading (1)

However, the goal markets are where the smart money could be placed, with this fixture certainly lacking fire-power over recent years.

Four out of the last six meetings have finished with less than two goals and you can get odds of 39/20 for there to be fewer than 1.5 goals at the Keepmoat on Saturday. Under 2.5 goals at 13/20 looks to be an even safer route to success.

Rovers have only managed a measly three goals in their six home league matches to date, while City have been similarly impotent on the road, notching on just three occasions. Both of these respective records are the worst in the division.

On top of that, Donny have not yet managed to hit the back of the net prior to the interval in front of their own fans and the same is true of Coventry’s efforts away from the Ricoh Arena.

This amazing statistic means backing more goals in the second half than the first is surely a no-brainer at 6/5, with a 0-0 half-time scoreline also worth a punt at 8/5.

Can't argue with that. Probably be 4-2 to Doncaster now though.

We're the "True Love Waits" of football, possession without penetration, feel better about yourself, but still go home with blue balls.

I read that as 'Coventry City travel to the Keepmoat Stadium this weekend on the back of a five-match undefeated streak against fellow Championship strugglers Doncaster Rovers'

Is that not correct?

Doesn't read right does it. It's the 'on the back of' which sounds like its just happened.

"Coventry City involved in low scoring game shocker"! Whatever next, "Fergie likes a drink shocker"?! Considering I can't even remember the last time we scored more than 3 in a game I'd say people's money on a low scoring game is pretty safe!

And yeah, it's last 5 against Donny, not the last 5 games. Confusing way to put it though.
