Is he our mystery loan target? Hes out of contract sometime this season and also has previous experience in the championship... We know thorn is in contact with a former team mate, which we assume to be Pardew as they were at Crystal Palace together. Just an assumption be he would be pretty good

Would be but one player will not turn this team round at all we are as good as relegated.

Seriously, I listened to the first half and some of the second of Newcastle at lunchtime and nearly every player we have mentioned on here was either in the team or came on as sub. The only two, who aren't raw youngsters, that weren't, are Lovenkrands and Smith. It has to be one of them, and I'd say Lovenkrands is the best possible player we could get: an experienced striker with pace. I don't think it'd be enough to keep us up, but he would massively improve the side.

Lovenkrands Seems to be the only one who fits the clues thorn gave.. He would be an option i suppose..

Yet Lovenkrands and Smith must surely be on 30k + so unless Newcastle are doing us a favour I doubt it is them.

Nah, reckon Lovenkrands would be on much less than that. Spent most of his career in 2nd rate leagues.

I very much doubt if Lovenkrands would be on 30k+ They resigned him when they were in Big trouble, I would of thought he would of been on more likely 20k

I could even see it being 9-15k. Either way, I imagine Newcastle are footing part of the bill.

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/7289386/Pardew-We-love-Lovenkrands

Pardew told the Evening Chronicle: "There is no chance of loan. Peter is a figure we love here.
"He is very important to us."

Those are the only 2 i can think of, although one that did cross my mind, but due to their lack of strikers i think its unlikely to be him, is Shola Ameobi. Id also not be impressed if it was him.(all e are out of our price range tho)

I'd would very much like to see his younger brother, Sammy Ameobi He seems a very useful player...

Well if it isn't Lovenkrands it must be Shola. He'd do. But listen to us, talking as if it's actually going to happen, us-sign a loan player! Tsk-we haven't learnt, have we?!

Shola, no. He was awful in this league if I remember correctly when he was loaned out to Ipswich(???). He definately wouldnt make a difference to what we already have imo

Dont no about his brother though.

It was Stoke, season they went up. I can't really remember what he was like for them but he did alright when Newcastle were down.
