Just took the stairs in the office for the first time in a while. Absolutely fucked by the time I got up to the 7th floor where I work.

Race the lift too. Makes it more fun.

Our office is on the third floor, When I beat the lift I always try to act cool and like I'm not out of breath when the lift arrives.

People in the office starting fad diets already. Going from eating sandwiches, crisps, chocolate to dust immediately coupled with the fact that they are going to be long distance runners is a route to disappointment!

Week 2

Cut out most beer.
Walking dogs a lot more for miles on beach.
Running up and down sand dunes.

Problem is I can't resist a bargain. Lots of munchies with Christmas wrappers/tins 50% or more off. I love munchies.

Another 4lb put on. Now 17st 5lb. Still look slim from front. Can still see my feet. And cheap munchies all about gone. New week new plan.

No carbs for past two days and just omelette, salads, fruit, meat and veg and also drinking plenty of water. Already feel my body flushing loads of shit out of me. (Literally!!)

Off the beer now until at least Feb but contemplating doing Feb as well and back at bootcamp which I’ll do 3 times a week coupled with loads of dog walks as well.

Good start but mentally I need to get my head around it but determined to ship 3 stone by October which if I cut down on the booze is very achievable.....

Easy! Try keto if you have the patience for preparing food

First weigh-in of the year last night and had lost 3.5lbs since new year's day; all this progress is from cutting down massively on booze, bread and red meat since NY. That and exercising every day (apart from Sat when we were at the the Scunny game). I've still been snacking on the Xmas leftovers like nuts, Pringles, Celebrations, Twiglets etc, so when those are exhausted I'll be able to make even more progress.

I've lost a similar amount in the same time.
I've been walking at least 1hr per day & I cut all the crap out of my diet.
A 70min walk burns similar number of calories to a 30min jog and doesn't mess up your knees.

Just weighed myself and since last Monday lost 6lb and 2cms off the gut.

Expected it to be quite a big drop this week as my eating has been pretty much spot on with no carbs apart from two small jacket potatoes with my steak Saturday night, no alcohol for two weeks, loads of dog walks and three bootcamps!

Let’s see what week two brings....

I dropped beer just before Christmas, only drank rum over the festive period. Since Boxing Day I’ve dropped all alcohol. As of today I’ve dropped chocolate too. Lost 8lbs since 29th December. I’m trying to phase in dietary changes to Make sure I stick at them. Parkrun every week and joined PureGym Nuneaton with my membership starting next Monday.

I think I've had a drink for 10 days out of 14 so far this year. Need to knock drinking on the head a bit as top priority.

Switched out to non-alcoholic beer which has made a big difference for me, both in terms of calories consumed and general mood/energy levels. Going to the gym 4 mornings a week before work as well. Can certainly feel a difference, don’t tend to measure the metrics of my progress though which I think I need to start doing.

Oh and the gym stuff I’m doing is purely strength training for 8 weeks before moving to a 12 week fat loss plan in March. Time out of the gym over the last year or 2 has meant I’m weak as piss again.

How does it work? Does it just say "speed up a bit"?

I don't know if this will work on a treadmill - Zombies, Run!

lost 1 lb since 1st Jan, which was quite easy, as I put on 32 lb between Christmas and New Year.

you can play music from spotify in the back ground then when its time the voice just says walk for 90 seconds then when its close to finishing tells you to prepare to run for 60 seconds and adds little bit of support every now again and continues till you have completed 30 mins

I wish they had something to automate that on treadmills so it slows you down, speeds you up. End up having to piss around with the controls all the time
