Hi,

Does anyone know of any Sunday league teams in Coventry that need players?

I'm 31, but have not played for a number of years.

I have a home treadmill and am looking to get myself in shape.

Not expecting a start straight away and am happy to just to turn up for training to start with.

Can play on the wing or upfront. I'm 6ft 1 and can use both feet.

Let me know if you know any teams looking for players.

Cheers

Rob

Try the UK football finder (whack it into Google). Lots of teams looking for players at all levels.

Good luck in finding a team Rob,a word on the fitness side of it,I was as fit as a fiddle and never played during the close season but carried on going the gym and cycling 20 miles a day,but I was knackered after 45 minutes in a friendly as match fitness is a lot different.

School team when I was around 17 .

Just want to play. Not bothered about it being a great team. Just looking to do something on a Sunday and meet some new people and get myself in shape.

I'm over 60, shitty heart, diabetic, just under 17 stone, and knackered out! I think I'll fit in well with a SBT Team!

There was a thread a while ago aimed at getting an SBT team in at Power League (up by Woodlands)-I'm sure enough folk would be up for it on a regular basis.

Seems pretty easy to do. Minimum age of players is 16, minimum age for the team organiser must be 18 so that's me out of it. We need a kit, and I can't find any info on the cost, so I have emailed them about that. Other than that, all we need is players, a kit, and some money for matches..

Just take a look at how many people are interested before you take this too far. Bear in mind Brighton Sky Blue does not live around here. I think everyone that would be interested would have commented by now.

Which is a fair point-it's a 5-a side league and you're allowed a fair number of subs so I'd wait until at least 7 or 8 confirm interest and can actually go.
