I think we still have a serious shot at the playoffs here. 4th 5th and 6th all on 51 points. We are 4 points behind. I think we might just scrape 6th but then winning the playoffs is another question. I personally can see Bournemouth winning the league and swindon coming in 2nd.

Im hoping for doncaster, tranmere, shed united along with us in playoff position. All of which we have beat this season. Lets stay positive and get behind the boys.

Take another look at the table and look at how many games the teams above and below us have played, and how many we have played.

Well everybody has been saying rather have the points than the games in hand, but when you haven't got either??

They've been out of form since just before we played them though(in the League).

Lost 5 out of their last 7.

Cov have a lot better pitch and we have done OUR job and gotten points, it's now up to the the other contenders to play a lot of games in a short period of time to get their points towards the playoffs. We've got ours, let them now get theirs.

I'm starting to feel that things are sliding away a bit. Too many losses at home. We really need to start turning it around soon if we've got any chance of a push for promotion.

No we haven't done our job. We have played more games & are still out of the play offs.

I'd understand this if we were IN play off position and others had to catch us, but this is a strange take on things

If I had to put money on it, i'd bet that we'll be just short this season, but I expect us to be one of the favourites for automatic next year.

Don't think it's totally over by a long shot as we're still only 4 points adrift, but lets see how the table looks tonight after Brentford, Sheff Utd, Bournemouth, Doncaster and Yeovil have all played one of their games in hand.

Our home form is just too patchy to get a Yeovil-esque run going, personally I think we can only afford to lose 2 more games. I think we'll need 9 wins and 3 draws from the other 12 games if we lose 2.

There's still hope but at the moment we're too fragile at home.

i agree Blueflint! the fact that Robins is critising individuals on the radio all points to the fact that he may be leaving us and he is wiping his boots on the cunts in th team

Yeovil were 8 points behind us with 2 games in hand six games ago, now they're 4 points ahead(and still have 2 games in hand).

So we've got neither points nor games there.

We definately arent out of it - but we are going to have to put a run together and I am really concerned about what is going on at home.

I also fear for this Bournemouth game - they look excellent at the moment and I just think the timing of it, if we lose that all the momentum built up is gone. One game we can recover from but losing against Bournemouth will really just take too much out of us.

If we can somehow beat Bournemouth on the other hand (which isnt impossible) then it will have the opposite effect, but its a tough act.

Someone above mentioned just missing out but being favourites for next season - Id be interested to see what people think our chances would be next season? for me its more a case of how much of the squad we can keep together. If we can get Bailey and not really lose anyone important we will have a great shot - but how realistic do people think that is?

just did a quick analysis of tonight I think its all correct:

Brentford(could go 7 points clear of us and still have 1 game in hand) V Stevenage (could go 1 point behind us with 2 game in hand)

Bury V Sheff U (could go 7 points clear of us and still have 1 game in hand)

Crewe( could go level with us with a game in hand) v Bournemouth (could go 11 points clear of us)

Doncaster (could go 12 points clear) v MK Dons (could go 1 point behind us with 2 hame in hand)

Hartlepool v Pompey – doesn’t matter to us what happens

Scunny v Carlisle– doesn’t matter to us what happens

Yeovil (could go 7 points clear of us and still have 1 game in hand) v Preston
