Don't worry we should be grateful for the 4 wins and 19 points from our last 20 games since going top, we were nearly relegated last season don't you know....

There is not one single fan that wants us to miss out on the play-offs.

But when you look at the table like it or not its slipping away with each game that passes.

Even if we win tomorrow, its no good we need to win about 5 on the trot just to get back in the mix.

The people who say we can make it are not giving any reasons why. What changes would suddenly happen to transform the season?

These are probably the same people who say Villa can stay up as there are lots of points still left to play for.

Oh it's absolutely doable. The thing is we now must beat the teams currently above us Gillingham, Millwall and Bradford and a point at Wigan would see us sitting in a play off place I would think.
It's in their own hands as they say. Not quite but wins over those and yes that would put a different face on it.

Knowing that and if you were TM, what would you be saying to your players now before they even kick a ball tomorrow?

I love it when people talk bullshit to make a point. Who the hell has said we should be grateful for 4 wins in 20 games.

The point I think people make is that on previous relegation threatened seasons, this one is an improvement. Having said that our recent form is worrying and it seems to be a Mowbray habit.

That'll do, donkey, that'll do.

Absolutely doable?

It's doable, but we are almost getting to the miracle stakes. It's not at all absolutely doable.

Think our only hope left now is that Jones and the Bulgar both play the rest of the games and make an outstanding difference to the team.

Whatever we have been doing since November clearly hasn't been working, so the only thing that will change that is changes to the team and/or tactics.

The new lads are the only changes we can make that we haven't already made in terms of personnel.

We are now very much clutching at straws. Also praying Millwall lose today too, just to even give us the slightest glimmer of hope.

Some people were worried about the form a couple of months ago, and all I hear off people is "yeah but its better than last year". The first 18 games were better than last year, the last 20 isnt, and people have been blasted for raising their concerns on the form over the last couple of months.

Is gone from "what are you complaining about we are second, to in the play offs, to 6th, to just outside". We have lost 8 of the last 12. That's awful

If Milwall win and we lose tomorrow, I think people will finally realise what a pathetic second half of the season we have had.

Piece of cake!

We have 8 points out of the last 10 games, but can obviously quite clearly now win 5 out of the last 8 matches.

Which of us is stupid enough not to believe we can do that?

Defeats? What defeats?

Especially as we were 11 points clear of 7th.

From 11 points clear to 8 points behind. It's mind boggling.

Confirmed - 8 points behind after Millwall win. A bastard set of results for us today.

That said, we've got a lot of the teams above us to play so we can gain some ground if we can re-discover our early season form.

Fook sake 4 wins in 19 games and we are still sniffing around the play offs. 2 wins more and we would be in with a chance. Lets hope we start next season loan free and actually have a set of players made of skin and bone not glass. But Sisu dont do that do they just scrape along on a minimum budget.
£1M at Christmas and we would be in the mix. Villa, Forest, Brum, Wolves, Derby etc would bring in a few quid plus £15M from the championship but no lets sell and re coup a few quid spent in the last £8 years etc ...:jerkit:

Budget is a poor excuse. Most of the teams above on the table, would be happy to have Coventry's budget. Mowbray's tinkering and bringing in past-it players with little ambition or drive, upset the applecart.

£15m from the championship?? Our entire turnover in the championship won't be anymore than £11-12m max.

The current wage bill is a moot point, we're told its top 8 and I'd put money on it being bigger than Burton, Gillingham and Walsalls. So no real excuse there.

The TV money for Championship clubs next season is said to be increasing to around £8m....nowhere near £15m.
