Just an idea

Why not see if Sphinx can play at the Ricoh FOC for one game when CCFC are at "home" in Northampton in the new year

ACL give them the arena for "free" and let fans in "for a donation"

ACL would get revenue from catering etc and fans could pop to the locals for a beer, food etc to give something to those who have lost income since SISU took our club away.

IF, and I know its a big IF, we could get 10,000 Cov fans who feel they have been affected by the move to go to the game and pay £1, it would cover police costs etc and also send a huge message to SISU.

Shooting for the stars, we could even package it as a record breaking attempt to show the support for Football in Coventry...

"Highest attendance between non-League clubs: 24,526"

This doesnt cause a problem with setting up a new club and supports a local club, who may get one or two more fans following on from it

Just a thought !

The highest ever in Sphinx's division was 1280 according to Wiki. Easy to beat!

There isn't much interest in Coventry Sphinx, even without any other football in the city.

Their last 3 attendances at home have been 70, 60 & 65. So I doubt they would need to open all the stands at the Ricoh for them.

You'd get less than Northampton and sphinx would go into administration due to ACL's match day fees.

It sounds a bit too Royston Vasey for me.

Ashdown & Valiant would be in their elements though.

Yes most costs are fixed and at least you acknowledge that few people would support the idea.

So are you saying that when we averaged nearly 20,000 match day costs were half a million so ACL were receiving nearly 2 million a year from the club?

Would need to at least charge what Sphinx normally charge. Believe there is a minimum ticket price at that level.

I would support this. Maybe it would make a few more watch sphinx week to week. Match day costs would have to be waived though. No segregation at that level so no need for police. Would be lucky to get 1000 though. Coventry fans are too apathetic.

Why would ACL waive costs? They don't even for charity matches do they?
