No that was in response to your assertion I want the club to lose.

So being 5th at this point of the season after building and evolving a squad of real potential is a failure in your eyes? Not to mention the quality of football we've been playing?

And to your original post how many games were you planning to give Robins before calling your mythical taxi? I think we all know that your post was in effect stating that he was rapidly running out of time - which is ludicrous.

We been saying teams around us have games in hand for months now!

After boxing day we will have a game in hand on acouple of teams above us. Much rather have points in the bag.

Usually the games in hand are against other teams in the top 14 who got a chance of play offs. so someone will usually drop points regardless.

Wouldnt be surprised if Wycombe lose 5 in row now...interesting to see how if they ounce back at pompy away, then Us and ipswich at home, then sunderland away.

Once they get a few injuries and suspensions and a few bad results lets see how they get on...

This means that it’s a vital season and surely questions need to be asked why we persist with a negative rigid formation each week and oddly sell non scoring strikers who suddenly score when sold and sign a striker like Godden who now doesn’t score?

We are still 5th G with the 'negative rigid formation'. And we've only been beaten 3 times...the rigidity means we're hard to beat. That's why we're 5th.

And this point on goalscorers is just coincidence to have a pop at our strikers. Could they be scoring more...of course. Gooden gets a bit of a pass as hes been injured quite a while and deserves time to prove himself. Max has done ok since hes been back as well.

Chaplin and JCH have done well. McNulty and others haven't. You can pick players in any position...some will have done better here under Robins than elsewhere under other managers. That's football.

And you mention about other teams having games in hand...they're not all going to win them.

We're 5th as it stands. Until we're 15th, relax a little more and have a beer.

Who exactly has said "Robins out"?
I'm a pretty regular visitor to these forums and I can't recall anyone saying it.
Yes. after some of the recent defeats, or draws that we should have won, people have expressed frustration at some of Robins' decision mnaking.
It's a valid argument that some of his late substitutions have been bizarre.
That is a far cry from wanting him out.
But we aren't going to be jumping for joy the next time our opponents equalise in the 85th minute and Robins reacts by sending on a striker.

Ive already said the only good football is winning football - we compromise goal scoring opportunities by the way we set up.

Someone else said that Robins is a paint by numbers manager - which is a great description as that is what he is.

You can’t blame him for selling Chaplin as a higher league club means he goes. The giving away of Clarke Harris an infinitely superior forward - when used to his strengths - than Biamou and Bakayoko is negligent

The next 5 games and league position then is pivotal to the season

Oh 3 Spurs fans on 5 Live demanding the Special One is sacked and likely to be a change at Man U very soon

Robin's is doing far more right than he is wrong. It's just immensely frustrating it's the same things he keeps getting wrong despite recognising them in post-match interviews and that our big problem position is the one you'd expect him to be the bet at resolving as it was his position.

I'm a little more of a football romantic perhaps.
I personally want to see my team playing class football that is possession based rather than booting it long and hoping for knock-downs.
You myopically focus on just one aspect of our play. I would counter that our possession football is very difficult to play against and allows us to control games i.e. our defensive record is excellent and our set up enables this. We allow teams very few chances.
I think perhaps we should dynamically change out set up during some game situations - but I would certainly not abandon our fundamental passing game.

Robins out? The football genius that is Grendel of course. He's given Robins a self imposed deadline of 5 games (stated today but it was blatantly a lot less when he shared his thoughts last week) before he calls the mythical taxi.

Robins has made some poor decisions selection wise at times and the failure to bring in a decent forward is questionable. They are the only negatives I can see though.
He has a very young squad who battle harder than any team I remember in recent memory.

I don't think he planned on Godden to be injured a month after he bought him. Give him some time, then we'll see. From what I've seen he has some real goalscoring instincts.

But WM don’t you see, this is exactly the frustration mate! We are 5th (inflated with an extra game) but this team is good enough to be top with the players we have and the points we have thrown away from a refusal to be agile.

It’s love and passion for the club, and the recognition that this is the best chance in years to go back to the championship, that is making people frustrated with some of robins decisions (or lack thereof as is so often the case). It’s so close we can almost taste it.

Yeah and like I've said on a response to CVD...I 100% get that and such frustrations.

But to some, those frustrations seem to equate to Robins being rubbish at his job and potentially needing a taxi. Its hyperbolic.

The same way that if we win or score a 90th minute winner, we shouldn't think we're going to walk the league. If we lose (just 3 out of 21...) or concede late, the comments on here are ludicrous.

I just find the levels of criticism on here mental, especially at a manager who obviously does know what hes doing, much more than Geoff from Binley.

That's all mate. Merry Xmas Eve Eve.

Negligent is a bit harsh, to us it looks like a mistake. My two abiding memories of jch were one at Brighton in the cup when he came on he was the best player on the pitch and one at the jsb xmas Party when he was a bit of a super sub. My son asked if he was happy making a difference to games off the bench? His arrogant answer makes me think the decision to let him go wasn’t about his abilities on the pitch
