no I thought he just said that 2 of the 4 mentioned weren't on the shortlist?

"He advised those attending to not pay any heed to the supposed shortlist published on a BBC website that day." This was quoted from the meeting with Steve Waggott at the SBT Meeting.

"Keith Curle, Paul Dickov and former Sky Blues boss Eric Black are understood to be among four names on their shortlist" Taken from the BBC article regarding our shortlist in our new manager search.

I think we can safely rule Eric Black out..

I hope that the employed manager is Exeter's Paul Tisdale and the manager out of work is Nigel Adkins/Roberto Di Matteo

If they are saying a new manager could be in for Saturday don't we need him before Friday?

Today would be good. He needs a few days to get to know the players and try and at least put some imprint upon the squad.

We can't afford to lose Saturday. Think if he comes in on Friday it could possibly upset the apple cart somewhat.

I would be 99.9% confident that none of those would be in the final two. Not that they wouldn't if they had applied for the job.

Is there more to SP than this ?

Falkirk

During the summer of 2009, Pressley was appointed as an assistant manager at Falkirk, following his retirement as a player. Following the resignation of manager Eddie May on 11 February 2010, Pressley was appointed Falkirk manager on a contract until the end of the 2009–10 season.[21] Falkirk were relegated to the First Division at the end of the 2009–10 season.[22] Despite failing to gain promotion back to the SPL at the first attempt, Falkirk extended his contract for another year.[22]

Pressley is 5/2 favourite with BetVictor to take the Swindon Town manager's job, following DiCanio's resignation from the English League 1 club.

well there's this interview with STV from March 1st

“I’m very happy at Falkirk. I’ve spoken about how happy I am at this football club and what we’re working towards here.

“So you can speculate all you like but the one thing I’ll say is I’m delighted I’m here and we have a chairman that fully understands the pathway we’re on and he’s a very stable and reliable man.”

** maybe the word loyalty isn't in his dictionary?**

If it's okay with you SBJ I will hold on in hope rather than expectation in that 0.01%

Well he'd be a fool if he were to say "I couldn't give a stuff about the whatever club I'm with. If someone comes along with a better opportunity or simply just more money, I'm off!" Wouldn't he???

Yeah, but I did say possibly.

Would be more worried if it were a home game to be honest. Away I think we need to keep things exactly the same.

The STV interview was in the context of the vacancy at Hearts but do you really need to say that kind of thing while actively applying for other jobs?
